Student answer (Band 6.0)
Every human being should have free supply of clear water by government due to the right of clean water for everyone. However I disagree with this statement.
There are some reasons that why some individual think that supply of water should be chargeable for everyone. The first reason is overuse of water, I every citizen have unchangeable supply od water then people might waste water without any thinking that could be caused the shortage of water. The second reason is irresponsibility, undoubtedly when government give something to their citizens then they would rely on it and forget their own responsibilities that's why free clean water may become the cause of increasing irresponsibility. For instance, when national authorities of india was provided free supply of food (weat and rice) then people became irresponsible and totally rely on government.
Referring to those who believe that clean water is the right of every person. They usually give some points regarding this opinion. Firstly, spreading of equality, the often argue that nowadays only well earning families have water purifier and lower class people can not afford it so that's why if government provide free clear water supply then it could increase the equality among citizens. Secondly, reduction in diseases, a large number of poor people suffering with diseases owing to supply of bacterial water, so supply of purifying water could reduce some diseases that are related to water.
In conclusion, there are many benefits of free water supply such as spreding of equality and reduction of diseases, but still I disagree because of those points that I mentioned above.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have identified both sides of the argument, which is good practice. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding food subsidies in India is relevant but could be more effectively linked to the specific context of water management. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with a clear logical connection to your main thesis, rather than just listing reasons.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'The first reason', 'The second reason', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions are slightly awkward, such as 'I every citizen have unchangeable supply od water'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, making the progression of ideas feel a bit disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to express your ideas, but there are several instances of imprecise word choice and spelling errors that occasionally hinder the flow. For example, you use 'unchangeable supply' instead of 'unlimited supply' and 'bacterial water' instead of 'contaminated water'. There are also minor spelling errors like 'weat' (wheat) and 'spreding'. To improve, focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—and proofread your work to catch simple spelling mistakes. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise, academic terms would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('government give', 'people became'), article usage ('the national authorities of india'), and sentence fragments. Some sentences are also run-on or lack necessary punctuation, which affects readability. To improve, focus on mastering basic grammatical rules such as pluralization and verb tense consistency. Practicing the construction of complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions will also help you demonstrate a wider range of grammatical control.
