Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the importance of clean water and the role of government, the arguments lack depth. For instance, you touch upon the cost of water but do not fully explore the economic implications or the feasibility of providing it free of charge, which would have strengthened your position. The conclusion is also slightly repetitive and does not fully synthesize the main points. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more detailed explanation and a concrete example to support your claims.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Additionally', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'On the other hands' (which should be 'On the other hand') and the repetitive use of 'However'. Furthermore, some sentences lack smooth transitions, making the flow feel a bit disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'every humankind' (should be 'all of humanity'), 'through walls' (likely meant 'through pipes'), and 'it become the responsibility' (should be 'it becomes'). You also repeat basic words like 'clean', 'fresh', and 'water' frequently. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms and collocations, and pay closer attention to word forms and usage in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'every living creatures' (should be 'every living creature'), 'there waste' (should be 'their waste'), 'purify the the water' (repetition), and 'it is the right to everyone to having' (should be 'it is everyone's right to have'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and capitalization. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and correct verb forms.
