Student answer (Band 5.0)

Clean water is a basic human right. Clean water supply is healthy every person.Clean water is necessary’s human bodies. Because many diseases causes dirty water. Clean water is a basic need for every human . I think in our country many people lives here who’s poor and rich. Some people should not afford water bills. Some people can afford it depends upon people situation . So in my opinion govt should water supply free of cost in every home . but there is not possible in every home clean water supplied. So government takes action for this problem. because there is many disease caused of dirty water, such as lungs problem, blood cancer, etc in why human body, every atom is present in my body are affected due to dirty water. So government take care of every water supplied tanks. So government take care about of well maintained ,our village and city. in my experience, India and foreign country, there is a big difference because foreign country water supply is very well maintained but inIndia is not well maintained. in my experience, I noticed this very well in foreign country. There is very neat and clean environment. So water is also clean. There is no any mosquitoes and fries here but India is an environment is not clear. But I am not agree about this water supply. There is every places. Water supply is free of cost because government know about rules and also balance budget. So water supply is free of cost not necessary in every places it’s depends upon urban area and area urban I think in urban area there is water supplies of cost but in rule area there is not supply free of cost because in cities‘s area, many people are well educated and it’s afford many things. Therefore, I am not completely agree and disagree for this statement. So water supply is free. Of course there is depend upon places.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt but lacks a clear, consistent position. While you acknowledge that water is a basic right, your argument shifts between supporting free water and suggesting it should depend on location or economic status. The ideas are often repetitive and lack sufficient development or logical support. For example, the mention of 'lungs problem' and 'blood cancer' as direct results of dirty water is an overgeneralization that lacks scientific grounding. To improve, ensure you state a clear opinion in the introduction and support each main point with a logical explanation and a relevant example, rather than listing disconnected thoughts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. Paragraphing is inconsistent, and the flow of ideas is frequently interrupted by abrupt transitions or repetitive phrasing. Cohesive devices are largely absent or misused, making it difficult to follow the progression of your argument. For instance, the transition 'But I am not agree about this water supply' is confusing because it contradicts your earlier point. To improve, use linking words such as 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' or 'however' to connect your ideas logically and ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-defined aspect of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'clean water,' 'government,' and 'people.' There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'in why human body' and 'in rule area' (likely meaning rural). Some phrases are non-standard, which occasionally impedes the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including topic-specific terms like 'infrastructure,' 'subsidized,' 'socio-economic,' or 'public health,' and focus on using them in the correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many people lives here'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'So government take care of every water supplied tanks.' The use of complex structures is limited and often results in errors that obscure the intended meaning. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb tenses.
