Student answer (Band 5.5)
Individuals agrue about fresh and crystal clear water is basic human need, hence every home get a water with the free of cost. I largly agree about this statement because water is essential for daily routine and maintaining hygine.
Main reason is that Governments should make access to clean water a legal right. Clean water is essantial for surviving, cooking and maintaining good health, so people not be denied it because of their financial situation. For example, Governments can introduce a law requrimg local authorities to provide a minimum amount of the safe drinking. Water free of charge to every houshold. As a result even low-income families can access safe water, which can reduce water-born disease and improve public health.
Another reason is that Government should take measure to reduce consumption of water in households because excessive use of water can lost a clean water ration. Earth have less then 1% volume of clean water. For example, Governments can impose higher taxes on perticular area where individals excessive use of water. As a results These measure can encourage people to save water for better prespective. Additional revenue generated from such taxes could be invested in public health programme.
I completly agree about this statements because Government can organise public save water campaings to raise awerness about healthy lifestyles and prevent some common disease. These campaings can educate people about save water for better future of your child. For example, Televison advertistments and social media campaigns can encourage people to benifts of save water. As a result, people can become health-consious adopt healthier habits and reduce the risk preventable.
In conclusion, I agree this statement because clean water is essential for each and every human such as drinking and health purpose so government should take a measure about the save water.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water access. The ideas are relevant, such as the focus on public health and the need for conservation. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The second paragraph introduces a contradiction by suggesting the government should impose taxes on water usage, which slightly undermines the initial argument that it should be provided free of charge. While the main points are clear, the supporting arguments could be more logically connected to the central thesis to ensure a more cohesive and persuasive argument throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'For example', 'As a result', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly repetitive, and the logical flow between the idea of 'free water' and 'higher taxes' is not fully reconciled. The use of referencing is generally clear, but the overall progression of ideas could be smoother to achieve a higher band score. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'water-born disease' and 'health-conscious', though there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'agrue', 'essantial', 'requrimg', 'houshold', 'awerness'). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the intended meaning. To improve, the student should focus on accuracy in spelling and more precise word choices to convey their arguments with greater sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('a water', 'the safe drinking'), subject-verb agreement ('Earth have', 'individuals excessive use'), and sentence fragments or awkward phrasing ('people not be denied it'). While the meaning is usually clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and punctuation limit the score. Increasing the frequency of error-free sentences and improving control over complex structures would significantly enhance the quality of the writing.
