Student answer (Band 6.0)
Water is an essential part of every prospects of life, weather it is living organisms as well as non-living tings. Access to clean water is fundamental right of every individuals. Some believe that water supply should be provided with not cost, while other believe that governments should charge it. I support that latter view, I will discuss both perspectives before reaching a conclusion.
This paragraph will show the importance of clean water for every residence . First of all, clean water is used as drinking water as scientifically it is witnessed that 70% of our body is made with water, so for overall well-being, so it is provided free by governments citizens can live healthy lifestyle. Another significant factor is that for baking food pure water play a pivotal role, as equal amount of water is need to cook the majority of the food items. Therefore, it highly beneficial for the people who have lower income source, if clean water is accessed at zero cost.
Admittedly, there are several disadvantages of providing no cost clean water. The primary factor is that people may misuse such type of water and it will leads to water scarcity. Because there is limited proportion of clean water is available. Moreover, if some amount of charge is applied for clean water than it will be highly beneficial for the governments to invest in some basic sectors such as health care and education, as in some countries, some citizens does not have access to basic health care system.
In my opinion, I firmly believe that governments authorities should apply charge for clean water supply in home. Governments should survey the income structure of each and every family of their nation, according to that they can impose tax on clean water.
In conclusion, although clean water is a necessity, it is available at free of charge than problems such as drinking water scarcity and financial burden on governments will increase at substantial rate. Therefore, applying deciding tax on clean water is far more beneficial for not only personal well-being but also for economic development of the nation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that water should not be free. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, such as the argument regarding water scarcity and the potential for government revenue to fund public services. However, the development is occasionally hindered by imprecise phrasing, such as 'every prospects of life' and 'baking food'. While the position is consistent, the supporting arguments could be more sophisticated to reach a higher band. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main points, though it contains some grammatical awkwardness that slightly detracts from the clarity of the argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First of all', 'Another significant factor', and 'Moreover', which help guide the reader through the argument. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Referencing is generally clear, though some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. The paragraphing is appropriate for the task, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. To improve, the student should aim for more varied and sophisticated linking phrases to ensure a smoother flow between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'every prospects of life', 'baking food' (instead of cooking), and 'deciding tax'. Some words are used incorrectly, such as 'witnessed' in the context of scientific fact. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of flexibility and the presence of these errors limit the score. To achieve a higher band, the student should focus on learning more precise academic collocations and avoiding literal translations from their native language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'weather it is living organisms as well as non-living tings' (spelling and usage), 'it will leads to' (subject-verb agreement), and 'some citizens does not have' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable and affect the overall fluency of the writing. A greater focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the text.
