Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is agreed that access to clean water is a basic human right while the supply of water is provided free of charge for every homes.
On the one hand, why I support access to clean water is a basic human right that the clear water promotes a healthy lifestyle. Although water plays a significant role to humans lives, it is necessary for all living beings. Clean water only make a human life healthy because if we drink dirty water, it helps to build diseases on human body. For example, in rural areas individuals cannot prefer to drink clean water because they are suffering from common diseases rather he facilities place. Furthermore, another reason is that clean water facilitate to live far from diseases. Water is a best way to transfer diseases quickly one to another person. Dirty water have tiny bacteria which are invisible. However they spread diseases on human body. For instance, if the water who drink patient in the hospital may use drink same water, we also suffer from these diseases which the patient is suffered.
On the other hard, supplying clean water without any charge also cruse problems. The first disagree reason of supplying water without any charge is free water may encourage wastage. Although if the individuals get free water, they d
o not think about wastage. They wastage unlimited water without any reason. As a result, the water source are shortage. for example, If the people who live in a apartment and pay for water whereas they have know i pay for water and use responsible. further more the another reason why I disagree is hat loss of nation growth. If authorities to not take payment from individual by using water it indirectly impact on nation growth. for instance, small collection of money facilitate to develop our country. Although if we do not pay, our source of water are reduce day by day by using unlimited water.
In conclusion, clean water is healthy for human life whereas we spent water with responsible and try to pay the money for using water to the authorities which helps to develop our country and stay financial l stable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, acknowledging the importance of clean water while discussing the implications of providing it free of charge. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. The arguments regarding health benefits and the potential for wastage are relevant but lack depth and clarity. The position is generally clear, but the expression of these ideas is often hindered by language errors, making the reasoning feel repetitive or slightly disjointed. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed argument supported by clear, logical examples rather than general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'On the one hand, why I support...' and the misuse of 'However' and 'Although'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between ideas is weak. The progression of ideas is present but often interrupted by grammatical confusion, which makes the flow feel somewhat forced. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will significantly enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and collocation. For example, 'build diseases' should be 'cause diseases' or 'lead to illness', and 'water source are shortage' is grammatically and lexically incorrect. There is an attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, but the lack of precision often obscures the intended meaning. To reach a higher band, focus on learning common collocations related to public services and environmental issues, and avoid using basic words like 'good' or 'bad' when more descriptive alternatives are available.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement ('Dirty water have', 'water source are'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or contain awkward phrasing that makes them difficult to parse, such as 'the water who drink patient in the hospital'. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, these are frequently faulty, leading to a lack of clarity. The majority of sentences contain errors, which occasionally impede communication. A focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
