Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is one of the fundamental rights of human beings to provide them the clean water free of cost. I completely agree with this statement because over the years, people are being affected with the shortage of clean water despit it being their basic human right.
To begin with, access to clean water is necessary for the survival of human beings because alot of diseases are spreading nowadays due to contimanated water. Especially in the third world countries, people struggle alot to find the clean water because of less water filtration sources and as a result they have to use the dirty water for drinking, preparing meals and other purposes. Additionally, people living in developed countries are also being effected by contimanated water due to the development of factories who discharge their chemically contimanated water in clean water sources. As a result, this effects thousands of people yearly and spread infections and other diseases. According to recent reports from WHO, the ratio of people die every year due to the diseases spread through contimanated water has increased over the years.
Moreover, the access to clean water is very expensive nowadays and almost out of reach for lower middle class people because it requires expensive filteration plants to clean the water. People who already live from hand to mouth cannot buy expensive water filters for their family and are destined to use the dirty water. The governments should pay attention to this issue and allocate funds to insert large filteration plants so that clean water become accessible free of cost for the poor people.
In conclusion, clean water is essential for everyone because its shortage spread deadly diseases among people and in addition, the governments should invest funds in supplying clean water free of cost so that the lower middle class can also afford drinking it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt clearly, maintaining a consistent position throughout. You have provided relevant reasons for your agreement, such as the health implications of contaminated water and the economic burden on lower-income families. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention the role of governments and filtration plants, the argument could be strengthened by exploring the potential economic trade-offs or the feasibility of such a universal free service. The response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis remains at a general level rather than a fully developed one.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Additionally', and 'Moreover' to signal transitions between ideas. However, the use of these devices is occasionally mechanical. Furthermore, there are some issues with referencing and flow; for example, the transition between the health impacts in developing countries and the mention of factories in developed countries is slightly abrupt. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct arguments, which helps the reader follow your line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'fundamental rights', 'contaminated', and 'filtration plants'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'despit', 'alot', 'contimanated', and 'filteration', which occur frequently. These errors are noticeable and detract from the overall quality of the writing. While you attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary, the persistent spelling inaccuracies and occasional word choice errors (e.g., 'the ratio of people die' instead of 'the number of people who die') limit the score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'people are being affected with' (should be 'by'), 'the development of factories who' (should be 'which'), and 'this effects thousands' (should be 'affects'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and verb agreement, such as 'the ratio of people die' and 'clean water become accessible'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher band score. Greater attention to subject-verb agreement and word forms is needed.
