Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is argued that, clean and clear water should be supplied to all homes with out any payments. Because it is a basic human right. I partially disagree with suggestion, as we know that water are important for basic life style such as cooking and drinking, but it also difficult for government to manage tools and requirements for every with no cost.

First and foremost, clean and clear crystal water are important for good health. In drinking , cooking and washing its important to use such type of water. For instance, dirt water can lead to many type of health diseases. therefor, government should provide it to those who are unable to pay for purified water.

Furthermore, I believe that full free of cost access to purified water can have many bad consequences. most people will misuse it and will not take for it. For example, instead of a single top of water people will use two or more. Furthermore, cost for the implementation and management of such type of projects will be hard for government to afford. For example, government will keep two or three management work to maintain and support it. which will make it unable to run that project for time.

In conclusion, water are important to have a good and long live life from many perspectives, but with out no cost it will be hard to manage and maintain for future. In my suggestion I can say that there should be little charge or payment instead of completely free and have not cost

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear, partial position. You identify the importance of water as a human right while highlighting the practical difficulties of providing it for free. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'misuse' is a good point, but it lacks depth and specific examples of how such a system could be managed. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more detailed explanation of your reasoning to fully support your position.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the transition 'In my suggestion I can say that'. Additionally, some sentences lack clear logical flow, particularly in the second paragraph where the connection between health and government responsibility could be smoother. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat repetitive and lacks precision. You use phrases like 'clean and clear crystal water' and 'dirt water', which are not standard collocations. There are also some issues with word choice, such as 'management work' instead of 'administrative staff' or 'infrastructure'. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more academic vocabulary and precise collocations related to the topic of public services and economics, while avoiding informal or redundant phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'water are important', 'dirt water can lead to many type of health diseases') and incorrect prepositional phrases (e.g., 'with out any payments', 'take for it'). While you attempt some complex sentence structures, they are often marred by these errors. Focusing on basic accuracy, such as pluralization and correct verb forms, will significantly improve your score. Try to proofread your work specifically for these recurring errors.
