Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's contemporary society, everyone in the country have the basic right to access clean water for their personal use. Hence, every households should have clean water supply which is provided free of cost to them. In this essay I will explore the given point of view before presenting my personal opinion.
On the one hand, I completely agree with this to provide clean water access for each and everyone citizen, because this is the most basic right of him or her. To explain it, human's should have a wide range of right on their government, but the most basic one is clean water supply, because nothing is care out without water, furthermore, providing clean water can facilitates citizen for various purposes. For instance, people use clean water for drinking and cooking in their homes. As a result, individuals can not buy it, so they have no financial stress about it, as well as they will cooperate with the supplier.
On the other hand, I strongly disagree with free of cost availability of clean water. To elaborate on this, water supply needs a wide range of employees to manage them on time and provide these services on efficient way, hence the salaries of these employees should be charged from the public who access clean water. Secondly, water supply also require a lot of maintenance to consistently run the normal flow of these clean water without any delay. To cite an example, worker in a water supply company have monthly wedgies, and some budget for maintenance is also needs. Resultantly, some charges should required to be pay for as an alternatives of these services by every home.
In conclusion, there is no dubte by providing clean water to every home, this is the major responsibility of authority. In stark contrast, while some money must be charge from them as an alternatives of these services for employees salaries and

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument regarding free water supply. However, the essay is incomplete, as it cuts off abruptly in the final paragraph. While the position is clear, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. The arguments regarding the necessity of water as a right versus the economic reality of maintenance costs are relevant, but the lack of a finished conclusion significantly impacts the overall task achievement. To improve, ensure that all parts of the argument are fully developed and that the essay reaches a logical, complete conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. Paragraphing is present, though the final paragraph is incomplete. The logical progression is generally clear, but the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'nothing is care out without water'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, fully developed topic sentence would enhance the coherence of the writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and non-standard collocations, such as 'monthly wedgies' (likely meaning wages), 'no dubte' (doubt), and 'as an alternatives of these services'. These errors occasionally cause the reader to pause, though they do not completely impede communication. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct context, rather than relying on basic or incorrectly adapted terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('everyone... have', 'every households should'), incorrect pluralization ('human's', 'worker'), and awkward verb forms ('can facilitates', 'should required to be pay'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limit the score. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement, correct verb tense usage, and proofreading for common slips in sentence structure.
