Student answer (Band 5.5)
Accessibility of clean water is a basic human right. So, every individual home should have a facility of water supply that is provided with the free of cost. I totally agree with the statement because about 70% of human body is covered with water and every essential activities of our daily lives depend on the water.
Water is the most essential components in our daily lives. It is vital components for our body functioning from blood plasma, hydration to osmolarity of our body. Beside our body, it is used in various type of activities such cooking food, washing vegetables, washing utensils and so on. Water is also used for the establishment of hydropower projects. It can be used in the industrial estates for the preparation, formulation and manufacturing of the products. We cannot imagine our life without water.
In context of Nepal, It covers largest proportion of water resources which is obtained from the various mountains. It is very easier and affordability for the supply of water because of the highest amount of resources. So, Nepal government should focus on the free charge for the clean water. Government should utilize the highest amount of capital for the water resources.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free water supply. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the importance of water for human health and industry, the argument for why it should be 'free of charge' is not fully explored in terms of economic feasibility or the potential downsides of such a policy. The example of Nepal is relevant, but the connection between having abundant resources and the government's ability to provide them for free is a bit simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced arguments regarding the social and economic implications of universal free water.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. There is a logical progression from the importance of water to the specific context of Nepal. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'It is' to start sentences. Some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where the link between 'local people' and the previous discussion of government investment could be smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'osmolarity', 'hydropower projects', and 'contamination'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'provided with the free of cost' (should be 'provided free of charge') and 'It is very easier and affordability' (should be 'It is much easier and more affordable'). These errors occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the message from being understood. Expanding your range of collocations would help improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Water is the most essential components') and incorrect article usage ('the free of cost'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and unnecessary capitalization. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
