Student answer (Band 5.5)
Availability to clean water is a necessary commodity of human right. Consequently every household should have a water supply that is offered without any cost. I largely agree with this because purified water is need of every human being and free of cost water at house saves time and money.
The primary reason for availability to purify water is that it saves from severe health diseases. The household who has a purify water supply connection can drink water easily and prevent themselves from diseases. For example, in India the rural areas don't have clean water system at home or in their village. They have unhygienic water storage systems and dwells that used for both human and animals. In 1980s, the village in India experienced a virus pandemic which was caused by unclean drinking water. Due to virus 1000 people were died. Therefore, clean drinking water should be necessary for human at their home.
Furthermore, if water connection is provided at home in rural and urban areas without any cost it saves money and time. This is because in the urban areas people are occupied with the workloads and have no time to buy purify water daily. In households, clean water supply system saves their time and money easily. Additionally, in rural areas, water connection supply without any cost saves their lives and money as well. Rural areas people don't have a suitable income to afford the clean water on daily basis. Moreover, they have commute issues to get the water far from their home. I largely agree clean water system without any bill saves time and money equally.
In conclusion, although clean water is a necessary commodity of human right, I strongly agree that water supply system at every households saves the income and time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on health benefits and economic relief. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the third paragraph where the arguments regarding 'time and money' are restated multiple times without significant expansion. While the example of the Indian village provides a concrete illustration, the link between the specific historical event and the broader argument for universal free water could be more nuanced. The conclusion is a bit brief and merely restates the introduction rather than synthesizing the arguments. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-developed point rather than repeating similar concepts.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'Consequently', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. For instance, the transition between ideas within the third paragraph feels a bit disjointed due to the repetitive nature of the arguments. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences are slightly awkward, which occasionally disrupts the flow of information. The progression of ideas is present, but the essay would benefit from a more sophisticated range of linking words to improve the overall cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'necessary commodity of human right' instead of 'basic human right' and 'purify water' instead of 'purified water'. The phrase 'saves from severe health diseases' is also non-standard. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'pandemic' and 'unhygienic', the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form (e.g., adjectives vs. nouns).
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as '1000 people were died' (passive voice error), 'the household who has a purify water' (relative clause and adjective error), and 'rural areas people' (missing preposition/possessive). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence construction often feels clunky. While the meaning is usually clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive voice would be highly beneficial.
