Student answer (Band 5.5)
Water is essential for every living being to survive. Since access to pure water is one of the basic right of humans that's why there should be a water supply in every single house that is free of charge. In this essay we will going to discuss about this notion and also we will discuss if we agree or disagree with this concept? Personally, I have to say that I completely agree with this notion.
Primarily, we will talk about the very first reason why I agree with this idea. In my opinion, water is one of the essential need individuals thrives for. So, it should be easily available for them and also they should not be charged for this. Since, it's the uppermost requirement for living, human beings should have a right to free access of it and authorities should take some steps to do that. For instance, they should develop more water plants for general populace and that should be available conveniently.
The other reason why I personally incline toward this notion must be because water is being used for multi purposes so it is not only essential for the purpose of drinking but also to do other tasks with it as well. Like we need water to clean our homes, do dishes, take baths, water the plants and much more. That's why, we need water to survive not only by drinking but also by fulfilling our other responsibilities as well.
To sum up, human have the right to have availability of pure water so, there should have a water supply in every single house. Moreover, it should be free of cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention that water is a basic need and used for multiple purposes, the arguments lack depth and specific evidence. For instance, you suggest building more water plants but do not explain the economic or logistical implications of providing free water, which is a key part of the debate. To reach a higher band, you should explore the counter-arguments or provide more nuanced reasoning regarding the sustainability of free services versus the need for infrastructure funding.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Primarily', 'For instance', and 'To sum up', to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. The introduction is slightly wordy and includes unnecessary meta-commentary ('In this essay we will going to discuss...'), which detracts from the academic tone. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea would enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on common words like 'essential', 'need', and 'tasks'. There are also some minor collocation errors, such as 'uppermost requirement' (instead of 'fundamental requirement') and 'multi purposes' (which should be 'multiple purposes'). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to public policy, infrastructure, and socio-economic concepts to demonstrate a wider lexical range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You have several grammatical errors, such as 'one of the basic right' (should be 'rights'), 'we will going to' (should be 'we are going to'), and 'human have the right' (should be 'humans have the right'). Additionally, there are issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit your score. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and pluralisation errors.
