IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Access to clean water is a basic human right. Therefore every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge.

Do you agree or disagree?

Student answer (Band 5.0)

water is a basic need of every human. Many people suffering for clean water and paying much money to get it. In my opinion it a basic human right to get pure water with free of cost.

To begin with, in cities and urban areas people do not have source of clean water. To elaborate, we are 20th century and people still can not afford a basic human need, which is water. in villages people still depend on wells and they bring water from wells to full fill their needs. For instance, Rajasthan. Government should overcome this problem for individuals because it is a basic right of them. Moreover, water of wells and rivers can affect their health.

In conclusion, access to clean water is basic need of humans and government can do something for them, by which they can get it free of charge.
