IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Access to clean water is a basic human right. Therefore every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge.

Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, development is commonly seen in various countries. The problem of polluted water has also been noticed in numerous nations. A group of people claim that they should get filtered water to their house without any charges. The subsequent paragraph will explore the reasons why this claim should be implemented or not before my perspective.
To begin with, people think that the government should provide them with clean drinking water free of cost because they are living under it and it should take care of their public's basic needs without which they could die. Further, this is the major duty of the government to protect its public. For instance, Indian authorities provide their public with clean drinking water, so their survival could be easier. In addition, citizens are already paying taxes on everything they purchase, so it is their fundamental right to receive proper help from the government to make their existence.
Moreover,everyone cannot be financially stable, so not everyone can afford to install filters in their houses. In these case, only the government is responsible for the welfare of its citizens.
