Student answer (Band 5.0)
Water is the basic need of humans life. No body can compromise on the access of water. Government should provide water supply to every home free of cast. I agree that clean water is essential for life.
First of all water is necessary for human life. because if we do not have water we will dead. This is our right to get clean water. Water is the thing that we use daily many times. People use water in kitchen, if they use dirty water and then many chances of causes disease. The diseases are more dangrous for our health. Humans used to water for cleaning our body if water is affected with germs then they make infection on their body.
Government should provide wirring of plastic pipes and give water tanks in every home for their instead of any cost. Clean water is the need of hour because all humans life depend on water. dirty water also effect on childrens. Government covered this cost by taxes putting a heavy burden on economy. Secondly, free resources are often wasted. If people do not have to pay for water. They are less likely to use water carefully.
For example: In many cities people overuse water in gardening. This can lead to water shortages which is already critical issue o worldwide.
In conculusion:

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether water should be provided free of charge, presenting a somewhat mixed stance that shifts from initial agreement to recognizing practical problems. While the writer covers both sides of the argument—mentioning the health necessity of water as well as the economic burden and risk of wastage—the ideas are underdeveloped and the overall position lacks strong clarity. For instance, the opening sentences state that 'Government should provide water supply to every home free of cast,' yet the conclusion determines that 'providing free water to every household is not practical or sustainable.' This internal contradiction limits the development of the task. However, key arguments regarding public health and resource conservation are present, aligning best with a Band 5 descriptor where the task is addressed, but ideas remain somewhat limited and the position is not consistently clear.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some overall organization with attempts at logical progression, utilizing basic cohesive devices such as 'First of all,' 'Secondly,' and 'For example.' However, paragraphing and referencing are frequently faulty. For example, the sentence 'Government covered this cost by taxes putting a heavy burden on economy' lacks clear cohesive links to the surrounding sentences. Furthermore, the formatting is disrupted by isolated fragments and awkward punctuation, such as 'For example: In many cities...' and the broken conclusion structure ('In conculusion: access...'). While there is a discernible flow of ideas from health benefits to economic drawbacks, the mechanical and sometimes inaccurate use of cohesive devices restricts the score to Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by noticeable spelling and word-choice errors. Examples include 'cast' instead of 'cost,' 'dead' instead of die, 'dangrous' instead of dangerous, 'wirring' instead of wiring, and 'conculusion' instead of conclusion. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'sustainable,' 'shortages,' and 'conservation' concepts, the high frequency of lexical and spelling inaccuracies causes noticeable difficulty for the reader at times. The range is minimally adequate for conveying simple ideas, fitting the Band 5 descriptor for Lexical Resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammatical structures attempted are predominantly simple sentences alongside a few faulty attempts at complex forms. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('dirty water also effect on childrens'), fragment sentences ('because if we do not have water we will dead'), and missing articles or prepositions ('Humans used to water for cleaning our body'). Punctuation is also problematic, with incorrect capitalization and run-on structures. Because errors are frequent and occasionally obscure the intended meaning, the grammatical control corresponds to a Band 4.5, rounded to Band 5.
