Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the concurrent world availability and usage of water is an inevitable topic for debate. Some argue that water should be free for every home, because it is basic human right. I vehementaly discord with this statement because world is in the edge of water scarcity. This essay will discuss my discrepency along with credible examples and reasonable conclusion.
The cheif rationalization for my disagreement is come from multifarious causes. Firstly the most discernible point is the mis use of water. To eloborate it clearly, when some on get water free of cost people will start feeling it is abondend, because of this not only the inappropreate usage but also the value of natural resources will go down. Due to this making water availablity free will imapct so badly in the usage pattern of the population. An optimal example for this can be, according to the report published by Jal Shakti department of India, rural Indian households having own well at their property is misusing thousands of litter each month. Hence, free water supply can badly affect the usage pattern of individuals. leads wastage and near future water unavailability.
A factor of paramount importance supporting my perspective is the commercial use of water resourses. To elucidate, once the water became free commercial agents start iover using water resources withput any limit, because of this availability of quality drinking water will reduce, it will imapct the future generation so worse. For instance, many African countries are affected by unregulated water inatake by corporates for mining and other purposes, according to the statement by world health organization, unregulated water intake for businesses will leads to drinking water shortage. Thus, water should be consider as a valuable natural resourse and it should not make free for use without any limits.
To recapitulate the main points, water should be consider as a limited resource beacuse near future the availability of water will get depleted, sp in thios situation supply of water making free will be a bad decision. Instead of making it free governments should make sure the good quality water is available for their citizen in a reasonable price.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position throughout the essay. The writer disagrees with the notion that water should be provided free of charge, supporting this stance with arguments surrounding resource management and commercial misuse. Ideas are extended with relevant examples, such as the reference to rural Indian households misusing water and the impact on African countries from unregulated mining. While the arguments are generally well-developed and relevant, the ideas can occasionally feel slightly over-generalized due to developmental leaps and minor structural disruptions. Nonetheless, the task is fully engaged with, earning a solid Band 6.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct main points. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical. The writer relies heavily on basic transitional phrases like 'Firstly', 'To eloborate it clearly', and 'To elucidate' rather than smoothly weaving ideas together. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as seen with sentences like 'The cheif rationalization for my disagreement is come from multifarious causes.' Despite these issues, the progression of thought is generally followable, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for an academic discussion, incorporating terms like 'inevitable', 'scarcity', 'commercial agents', and 'unregulated'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, such as 'concurrent' instead of 'contemporary', 'vehementaly discord' instead of 'vehemently disagree', 'cheif rationalization' instead of 'chief rationale', and 'abondend' instead of 'abandoned'. These lexical slips and awkward collocations occur frequently, though they do not seriously impede communication, making this performance representative of Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to use varied structures. However, grammatical accuracy is notably weak, with persistent errors in punctuation, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions. Examples include 'world is in the edge' instead of 'on the edge', 'when some on get water' instead of 'someone gets', and 'making water availablity free will imapct so badly in the usage pattern'. Run-on sentences and comma splices also appear, such as 'Hence, free water supply can badly affect the usage pattern of individuals. leads wastage and near future water unavailability.' These errors cause frequent strain for the reader, placing the grammar firmly at Band 5.0.
