Student answer (Band 5.5)

Water is the fundamental part of life without it survival of individuals is impossible. So, it's a elementary right of human to get a clean water access for drinking as well as for daily use too. So, in order to provide this to public, government should have a suitable plan to ensure proper supply of sanitary water with free of cost.

I strongly agree with this assertion because water play a pivotal role in everyone's life. and it is the fundamental right of number of people to get a hygienic water for existence. For Instance like if people are not provided with clean water they might get caught by many disease such as waterborne disease in every group of inhibitants and jaudince mostly in child or younster. So, In order to avoid these illness government should took serious action to make availability of clean and purified water.

Furthermore, providing free water can help reduce health problems, particularly among low-income families.Clean water is essential for drinking, cooking and maintaining personal hygiene. However, poor families may struggle to afford a regular water supply. By providing safe water free of charge, governments can reduce the risk of waterborne diseases and improve the overall health of the population.

To conclude, I firmly believe that governments should provide clean water to all households free of charge. This would ensure equal access to an essential resource and help protect the health and well-being of the entire population.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The student presents a clear position strongly agreeing with the prompt that clean water should be provided free of charge. Main ideas regarding public health, disease prevention, and assisting low-income families are introduced and supported with examples such as waterborne diseases and jaundice. However, the response falls short of the minimum length requirement, containing 240 words instead of the required 250. This under-length impacts full task development and limits the depth of elaboration expected at higher bands, resulting in a penalty to the overall task achievement score.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response is arranged into logical paragraphs, beginning with an introduction, followed by body paragraphs discussing health risks and socio-economic benefits, and a clear concluding summary. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'However', and 'To conclude' are used to connect ideas, although transitions like 'For Instance like' and 'So' are rather repetitive and informal. Paragraphing is adequately handled, providing a coherent overall arrangement even though minor mechanical faults exist in referencing and transition usage.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'fundamental part', 'pivotal role', 'hygienic water', and 'low-income families'. However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and awkward collocations throughout the text, such as 'a elementary right', 'clean a water access', 'with free of cost', 'caught by many disease', and 'inhibitants' instead of inhabitants. Spelling and word choice errors occur with some frequency, but they do not completely impede overall communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, including conditional and relative clauses. However, control over grammar and punctuation is inconsistent. There are numerous grammatical errors, such as article misuse ('a elementary right'), prepositional errors ('with free of cost'), fragment sentences ('and it is the fundamental right...'), and tense or agreement slips ('government should took'). While these errors do not completely obscure the meaning, their frequency prevents the essay from achieving a higher band score.
