Student answer (Band 5.0)
Availability of clean water is one of the main human basic rights. It is the right of the people of every country to give water to its people. In this way, clean water should be in the approach of every human being. I totally agree with this point.
Water is necessary to live on the earth for humans. Human mind is made up of seventy of water and needs much water everyday. If clean water is not available, people will drink dirty water which will be harmful for their health. Water is actually a basic need. It should be available in every house of the planet Earth. It is the duty of the government of every state to give people clean water free of cost. Actually water is a natural thing, so it should not be abondend. People should fight for their rights if they are not getting clean water. If they do not fight, only dirty water will left for them.
On the other hand, people who think water is not a necessary thing are wrong. Farmars need water in their daily life. They have to give water to the fields. Water is also used in the washing purposes at homes.
So, I agree with the statement that everyone has rights to get clean water free of cost. If people do not get clean water, they will start to die due to different diseases. That's why I agree with this statement. Now it is up to government whether it gives rights to the people or not.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position ('I totally agree with this point') and discussing why access to clean water is a basic right and should be provided free of cost. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the point that water is necessary for human survival is reiterated multiple times without adding new dimensions or deeper analysis. The counterargument section is very brief and underdeveloped, mentioning farmers and washing purposes superficially. This places the response in Band 5, as the ideas are limited, under-developed, and the task is only partially addressed in terms of depth and extended argumentation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some basic organization, separating the introduction, body points, counterargument, and conclusion into distinct paragraphs. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the logical links between ideas are frequently awkward. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or inaccurate, such as starting multiple sentences and paragraphs with simplistic transitions like 'In this way,' 'Actually,' and 'So.' Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the paragraphing, while present, fails to structure the argument effectively. These features are characteristic of Band 5, where cohesion is inadequate and repetitive.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, relying heavily on simple words and phrases such as 'basic human right,' 'clean water,' 'basic need,' and 'necessary thing.' There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations throughout the text, such as 'in the approach of every human being' instead of 'within the reach of every human being,' 'give water to its people' instead of 'supply water,' and 'abondend' (abandoned/abundant). The range of vocabulary is minimally adequate for conveying a simple message, but errors and lack of precision cause some difficulty, aligning with Band 5 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent errors in grammar, article use, and preposition selection, such as 'seventy of water' (seventy percent water), 'every house of the planet Earth,' and 'water is also used in the washing purposes.' Subject-verb agreement and word forms also show frequent inaccuracies, such as 'Farmars need water.' Although the meaning can generally be deciphered, the frequency of errors and the faulty nature of complex structures place this submission firmly at Band 5.
