Student answer (Band 4.5)
Accessing clean water is a basic fundamental right for all human, so every house should provide a water supply at free of cost. In my opinion, Everyone should provide the water supply at free of charge.
Overall, accessing the clean water is a fundamental human right. It should be provide with no cost because this is the basic need of life without clean water nobody will manage to live. However, the water supply should be free for all people and for all homes either, for instance there are too many places around the world where people hardly find clean water mostly in affrica sides.
Another main reason for this, suppose a man suffering in a desert and he wanted to drink water but he failed to fined the clean water so at the end he will die from dehydration, a death from dehydration and appetite both are very brutal and died with too much pain. so this is the main reason that everyone has the right of accessing the clean water at free of cost. In addition, the plants can not manage in the absence of water, they also required water for their survival
In conclusion, accessing a clean water is a basic fundamental human right and also provide the water supply because in the absence of water no living creature will manage to survive, even though plants and trees need water for their survival, in short the water is the basic need for all living creature as well as plant.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The student addresses the prompt by agreeing that clean water should be provided free of charge, presenting a clear position throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive, which prevents the response from reaching a higher band. The arguments rely heavily on emotional assertions about dehydration and the survival of plants rather than exploring broader socioeconomic or governmental perspectives. For instance, the mention of 'affrica sides' and a hypothetical man suffering in a desert are narrow examples that lack rigorous academic extension. While all parts of the prompt are addressed, the arguments lack depth and the overall treatment of the topic remains basic, aligning best with a Band 5 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, overall progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and a lack of sophisticated cohesive devices. Transition words are basic and sometimes mismanaged, such as starting the second body paragraph with 'Another main reason for this, suppose a man suffering...' which creates a run-on, fragmented logical flow. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs is faulty due to poor referencing and abrupt shifts in ideas. For example, the sudden inclusion of plants in the middle of a paragraph about human dehydration disrupts the logical unity of the text, supporting a Band 5 score.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and occasionally inaccurate, reflecting a limited range. The student frequently repeats phrases like 'basic fundamental right', 'accessing a clean water', and 'free of charge'. There are notable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'provide a water supply at free of cost', 'appetite' instead of 'thirst', and spelling errors such as 'affrica' and 'fined' instead of 'found'. Less common lexical items are rarely attempted successfully, and the choice of words often strains the reader's understanding. This performance corresponds firmly to a Band 4 descriptor profile.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The student demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex forms. Frequent grammatical and punctuation errors occur throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'all human' and 'plants can not manage', incorrect prepositions ('at free of cost'), and run-on sentences joined improperly with commas (e.g., 'so at the end he will die...'). These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader and distort meaning in places, which is characteristic of a Band 4 performance.
