Student answer (Band 5.5)
Every household should have reach to clean drinking water which should be free of charge. This is considered to be one of the basics human rights .I strongly agree with the statement. This essay will justify my agreement with this statement by mentioning a few examples.
Life is not possible without water. Human beings use water everday for several purposes including drinking, cleaning, washing and in agriculture. Human body is made up of water. Without water, life would cease to exist. Clean water is required for agriculture from which we get food. So, it is very important to give access to clean water that should be free of cost.
In this era, water level is depleting, making it hard day by day for a common man to get clean water mere for drinking. They are being compelled to buy water from private companies. For example, buying water was not even a concept 20 years ago. However, it has become a daily practice for people in many regions of the world to buy drinking water. The main reason for this is the diseases that people are getting from drinking polluted underground water. it is against the laws of nature and humanity. I think the Government should play its role in the controlling water pollution and providing clean water to the general public.
Furthermore, it is the responsibility the state to control water mafia industries which are selling expensive drinking water bottles. This trend is making people exhausted and frustrated. Water should be free and availabe to all.
In conclusion, world organizations and governments should cooperate and make some rules about the availabilty of clean water. The Governments should prioritze the projects that inlvolve providing clean water supply to the common households. This will nake People healthy and buoyant.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student clearly presents a position in agreement with the prompt, stating that clean drinking water is a basic human right and should be provided free of charge. All parts of the prompt are addressed, with supporting arguments about health, human necessity, and the issue of private water companies. Ideas are generally well-selected, though some development tends to be slightly repetitive, such as reiterating the importance of life without water and the necessity of free provision across multiple paragraphs. The conclusion reinforces the stance well. Overall, this performance meets the criteria for Band 6.5 to 7.0; however, because the ideas could be extended with more sophisticated depth and tighter argumentation rather than general assertions, a Band 6.0 is appropriately assigned for task achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay is divided into an introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing a clear overall arrangement. Progression is generally evident, moving from the definition of a human right to current problems with depleting water levels and commercialization, and finally to government solutions. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or basic, such as 'Furthermore' and 'In conclusion'. Referencing is occasionally awkward, for instance, 'They are being compelled to buy water...' where the antecedent 'common man' is singular while the pronoun is plural. Paragraphing is utilized, though the flow between sentences could be smoother. These issues align well with a Band 6.0 descriptor, where the overall arrangement is coherent, but cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms such as 'depleting', 'commercialization' (contextually implied), 'pollution', and 'buoyant'. However, there are noticeable word-choice and collocation errors, such as 'have reach to' instead of 'access to', 'basics human rights' instead of 'basic human rights', and 'mere for drinking' instead of 'merely for drinking'. Spelling and word formation are generally clear, but slips occur. The vocabulary allows the message to be communicated without much difficulty, placing the response securely in Band 6.0, as it possesses an adequate range with some inaccuracy in less common items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional-like constructions (e.g., 'agriculture from which we get food', 'Every household should have reach to clean drinking water which should be free of charge'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation lapses, such as missing articles ('the state', 'the controlling water pollution'), capitalization errors ('it is against', 'nake People'), and subject-verb agreement or phrasing issues ('responsibility the state', 'projects that inlvolve'). While these errors do not severely impede communication, they are persistent enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. This performance reflects the Band 6 descriptor where a mix of structures is used alongside some errors that rarely impede communication.
