Student answer (Band 5.0)

Purify water is the basic rights of Human being. As we known water also includes in natural resources so, supply water into home should be provide free of charges.

Providing free water or water supply is different things or i disagree with it that supplying water into homes should be free. As we know, Goverments have power to control water. so supplying water chain from home to home, cities to cities, their expense should be charged from locals. as water is their basic rights but their suppliments, maintainess, cleanes should demands expense. By keeps that things in mind that i should think water should be charged.

Water is an natural resources but we all that water is becoming low day by day due to climate changes. so, if we charge the water from people than they released how precious the water is, so they prevents it from wasting.

in all states their are needy peoples who caannot afford their even food so in that case the goverment of that states should provides subsidies so, they have water for their basic needs. Similarly, states have to provides some free water coolers or water tanks for those poors who lives on streets, slums.

overall, i strongly, belives thats people shoulds have to pay for water to regulates the system of goverments.howevers tyhe free water should only provides to needy or poor peoples. So, water should not be waaste or in future we can not have war just because of water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance against free residential water supply, supporting the position with arguments about maintenance costs, conservation, and government subsidies for vulnerable groups. However, the task achievement is impacted by two main issues. First, the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum, containing only 246 words, which incurs a penalty. Second, while the ideas are relevant, some parts are repetitive and under-developed, keeping the development restricted. For instance, the discussion regarding conservation is somewhat basic and relies on generalizations. To reach a higher band, the student needs to meet the word count requirement and expand on their main arguments with deeper explanations and more specific supporting examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into distinct paragraphs, attempting to structure the argument from an introduction through separate body points to a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions, informal linking phrases like 'By keeps that things in mind', and mechanical cohesive devices. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is often faulty, making the flow disjointed in places. Pronoun referencing and signposting are inconsistent, requiring the reader to work harder to follow the writer's line of reasoning. To improve, the student should focus on using transitional phrases more naturally and ensuring each paragraph contains a unified, well-linked sequence of ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical resource is limited and adequate only for basic communication. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'subsidies' and 'precious', but these are accompanied by frequent word-form errors, inappropriate collocations, and spelling mistakes like 'suppliments', 'maintainess', 'cleanes', and 'belives'. Basic words are often misused, such as 'purify water' instead of 'purified water' or 'water purification'. While the vocabulary allows the writer to convey their main arguments, the numerous lexical errors and lack of precision restrict the score to this band level. To achieve a higher band, the student must expand their vocabulary range and pay closer attention to correct word forms and spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying primarily on simple sentences alongside a few faulty attempts at complex clauses. There are frequent, persistent errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'goverments have power' and 'states have to provides', tense inconsistencies, and incorrect prepositions. Sentences such as 'As we known water also includes in natural resources so, supply water into home should be provide free of charges' demonstrate poor control over basic grammar. Although the meaning can generally be deciphered, the high density of errors frequently strains the reader and prevents the response from achieving a higher score.
