Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is a universal acknowledge thae clean water is a basic human right. United Nation under there program UN Water works to provide a clean and fresh water to everyone. In my point of view about this statement therefore every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge.I disagree with free of cost water supply to everyone beacuse people starts taking it for granted, free water supply provided to only minor communities.
Firstly, 70% of the human body is made up of water, and it is essential in performing many physiological and biochemical functions in the body. In addition, water is the main source of hydration for us. Secondly, clean water prevents many water-borne diseases, such as Cholera, Diarrhea, and Hepatitis. Contaminated water is the main source of spreading diseases like Polio. This virus causes permanent disability among children, and access to clean water can prevent these kinds of diseases. Hence, access to clean water not only prevents diseases but it also reduces healthcare costs as less number of patients will be admitted to hospitals. According to UNICEF, clean water should be available to every person regardless of their social and economic class. They also emphasize that governments to provide free clean water to adolescents, as it is a necessary factor for their growth and cognitive function. Furthermore, access to clean water in schools can reduce sick leaves among students and increase their attendance. Overall, it can reduce water-borne diseases and augment the physical and mental health of the students.
Lastly, clean water is vital for the growth of crops and food industries. Clean water enables efficient nutrient absorption, prevents diseases, reduces stress, and promotes robust growth, leading to higher yields and better quality products. Clean water is also essential in the food industry for the safety, quality, and efficiency of the products, and reduces recalls, especially for the expensive products. Better quality foods and crops increase the demand for the products and enhance the financial growth of the society.
In conclusion, clean water promotes general health, prevents diseases, and boosts economic growth. The government should prioritize and develop policies for free access to the water. Countries with limited resources should collaborate with international organization, and subsidize the access to clean water.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses the prompt by discussing whether water should be provided free of charge, presenting a somewhat mixed and slightly contradictory position. In the introduction, the writer states, 'I disagree with free of cost water supply to everyone because people starts taking it for granted, free water supply provided to only minor communities.' However, the conclusion suggests that 'The government should prioritize and develop policies for free access to the water.' This shift creates some confusion regarding the writer's final stance. The main body paragraphs provide detailed arguments regarding the health benefits of water and its importance in agriculture, but these points tend to support the general importance of clean water rather than directly debating the economic model of whether it should be entirely free. Ideas are extended, but the central position lacks consistency.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay is divided into logical paragraphs, each tackling a distinct sub-topic, such as health benefits in body paragraph one and agricultural importance in body paragraph two. Cohesive devices are used to guide the reader through the text, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Furthermore'. However, referencing and paragraph transitions are sometimes clumsy. For instance, the transition from the contradictory thesis statement into the body paragraphs feels abrupt. Additionally, paragraphing within the introduction mixes personal stance with background facts in a disjointed manner. Nevertheless, there is a clear overall progression that allows the reader to follow the main arguments without significant difficulty.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'physiological', 'biochemical', 'water-borne', and 'augment'. However, there are notable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text. Examples include 'It is a universal acknowledge thae', 'fresh water to everyone', and 'less number of patients' (which should be 'fewer patients'). Spelling errors also occur, such as 'thae' instead of 'that', 'beacuse' instead of 'because', and 'organization' lacking pluralisation where appropriate. These lexical inaccuracies do not impede overall communication, but they prevent the essay from achieving a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in articles, prepositions, and subject-verb agreement. For example, 'United Nation under there program' contains plural/possessive errors, 'provide a clean and fresh water' has an unnecessary article, and 'people starts taking' exhibits a clear agreement error. Punctuation is generally functional, but run-on sentences and awkward phrasing occasionally disrupt the flow. While the errors do not completely obscure the meaning, their frequency places this response firmly in the band 5.5 to 6.0 range.
