IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Access to clean water is a basic human right. Therefore every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge.
Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued that access to clean water is a basic human right. Therefore every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge. I agree with this view because water is like oxygen and its a bare minimum thing and a basic human nessacity . Secondly every person pay ample of tax so atleast they shoud get clean water.
One of the important reason I agree this becouse its a bare minimum thing for instance If a person charge for a oxygen it feel very abnormal and unlaw full act the same way as the water is as like as oxygen it also free in atmospher and it is a thing that human need to survive furthermore the way breathing oxygen have no charge same way drinking purefier water also no charge reason both are the basic human nesasity.
Another significient reason is every individual pay tax no matter what country they live. water is totaly free, it purefication only take some money so if purifing a water use some funds of goverment so it should be investe for the process of purification. For instance if a person purchase a single macthstick box in this also they have to pay the tax so if you pay tax in every thing atleast a thing that a basic human thing to survive it should be free.
In conclusion, I completly agree with the topic that water should supply free of cost to everyone it should be a basic human right. This is mainly becouse water is freealy avilable and if it cost little to purified it then goverment have to invest it funds reason every individual pay taxes and secondly Water is a basis nessacity of everyone like breathing oxygen so it should not be charge
