Student answer (Band 5.0)
Avaibility of clean water is basic human right. thats why it is argued that every home should have the a water supplier that give water with no cost. I agree witn this statement.
Firstly supply of free water will help poor people. As if the water will be free then they will not need to pay any bills of water. Furthermore they will also use the the clean water in their daily usage like in drinking, cooking and sanitation. For example, A poor family who is unable to manage their two time meal how will they manage to pay for water, and as water is basic need what they will do they will use the unclean water from ponds.
Secondly, using unclean water can cause many health problem. When people will use unclean water for their daily usage it will by time can cause so many heath problems for them and since they are poor enough, they will also not be able to take any kind of medicine for that and not be able to go to doctor for consultation. which can ultimately cause loss of people life. For example, it is reported in undeveloped countries where there is no clear clear water providance it listed many health problems in their citizens.
In conclusion, Clear water should be the first and basic thing that every country or city should provide to their citizen, beacuse clean water can help low income families in their overall life and prvent them from health problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly taking a stance on whether water should be provided free of charge, supporting the view with arguments related to poverty and health. The position is maintained throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies on basic generalisations rather than deep exploration. For example, the argument regarding poor families using unclean water is relevant and meets the basic requirement of the task, but it lacks specific depth or nuance. Because all parts of the task are addressed and a clear position is presented, the response aligns best with Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay uses basic paragraphing to separate an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some overall organisation. However, the logical progression is hindered by frequent structural and cohesive weaknesses. Cohesive devices are minimal or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'For example'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, and sentences often lack smooth transitions. The overall arrangement is somewhat coherent, but the heavy reliance on mechanical transitions and limited cohesive control places this response at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, which is characteristic of Band 5. There are frequent spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'Avaibility', 'witn', 'providance', 'beacuse', and 'prvent'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'consultation' and 'sanitation', but these are overshadowed by basic phrasing and persistent errors. While communication is generally maintained despite the lexical inaccuracies, the range of vocabulary is restricted and heavily repetitive, making Band 5.0 an accurate reflection of the lexical control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are multiple grammatical errors throughout the text, including missing articles ('is basic human right', 'take any kind of medicine'), incorrect prepositions, and run-on structures or fragment sentences (e.g., 'For example, A poor family who is unable to manage their two time meal how will they manage to pay for water...'). These errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, placing the grammar performance firmly at Band 5.0.
