Student answer (Band 5.0)
Clean water is an issue that has received considerable attention in recent years. There are several important points to consider regarding this matter. Its significance has unavoidably been determined by present and prior social circumstances. In my view, I completely agree with this topic but, I think that both aspects have their own pros and cons. This essay will examine the main aspects of this issue.
On important point is that fresh water is a basic human right and it is necessary to provide a fresh water. This is because drinking clean water is very important for the health of the people, If they are not drinking healthy water the are not healthy at all. Regarding the health of the people it is very innovative step to provide them a clean free water. Let take pakistan as an example, in 2004 a huge increase in the people can be seen who were suffered from the diseases of stomach and kidney issues after progressive testing it was clear that the unavailibility of clean water is among the primary issues, that is why people were un-healthy.
Secondly, another important is preference and availability if free water is not supplied to humans then they prefer other water which might be not safe for them at any cost. For example, from 2008 ownwards China has started a free clean water supply to homes and after the certain period of time such as after 4 to 5 years it was noticed that popolatiuon of china going to be healthier with rthe passage of time. Therefore, from these examples, it is clear that why supply of clean free water is important to keep people healthy and fit.
Secondly, people should respect the availabilty of clean they need to use it for drinking purposes only not for other household activities. For instance, in Pakistan it was noticed that people started to do other activities with the fesh water instead of drinkig so that this excessive use of fresh and clean water leads towards dissapointment which ultimatley effects the approach of providing is free of cost.
In conclusion, there are several important factors related to providing clean water free of cost. Overall, I believe that it is the human right to provide them fresh water, mainly because this because it is necessary for the health of people to keep them healthy and fit this can be benificial approach.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses the task by clearly stating a position agreeing with the prompt, though the introduction contains a contradictory statement ('I completely agree with this topic but, I think that both aspects have their own pros and cons'). Main ideas are presented, such as the relationship between clean water and health, supported by examples from Pakistan and China. However, some ideas are repetitive and under-developed, and the argument occasionally loses focus. For instance, the fourth paragraph shifts to arguing that people should only use clean water for drinking rather than other household activities, which somewhat contradicts the absolute nature of the prompt. Overall, the response meets the criteria for Band 6, as all parts of the task are addressed, but the development is inconsistent and contains some unclear or contradictory assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement and basic paragraphing is attempted, but cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. The introduction contains redundant scaffolding ('This essay will examine the main aspects of this issue') that does not accurately reflect the body content. Furthermore, paragraphing is problematic; the writer uses 'Secondly' twice to introduce different points (paragraphs 3 and 4), and the final point is awkwardly squeezed into a separate short paragraph. Referencing and cohesive ties are sometimes unclear, as seen with phrases like 'That is why people were un-healthy' and 'leads towards dissapointment which ultimatley effects the approach'. These features align closely with Band 5 due to repetitive and inaccurate cohesive devices, alongside a lack of smooth progression between paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'progressive testing', 'availability', and 'excessive use'. However, there are frequent word choice and collocation errors, as well as spelling mistakes such as 'unavailibility', 'popolatiuon', 'rthe', 'fesh', 'drinkig', 'dissapointment', 'ultimatley', and 'benificial'. Phrasing is often awkward or unnatural, for example, 'huge increase in the people can be seen who were suffered from the diseases of stomach'. These noticeable errors and limited precision place the lexical control firmly at Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with article usage, prepositions, subject-verb agreement, and run-on sentences or comma splices. For example, the sentence 'If they are not drinking healthy water the are not healthy at all' contains a comma splice and article errors. Another example, 'Let take pakistan as an example, in 2004 a huge increase in the people can be seen who were suffered...', demonstrates severe structural awkwardness and tense confusion. Because attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty and cause some difficulty for the reader, a Band 5 score is appropriate.
