Student answer (Band 5.5)
Approach to clean water that is used for drinking and cleaning is a basic human right. For that purpose, every household should have a reserved water that is free of cost. I highly agree from this point of view because, water is a natural resource everyone must have it at their own houses.
From my perspective, water is a necessary element which is also used at daily life for cleaning, washing, take bath with water, we even do not brush our teath without water because we needy for it. The other point is that water is also crusial for drinking, and drink clean water can also improve our health and our inner body sysyem will clean. We often use water for cooking. Although it is an natural resource it must be free of cost.
If government put tax on using water then that's not fair for those who hardly pay for their electricity bills and suffer from starving. HIgh uses of water may harmful in future that there is not any drop of water left if we use it unintensioly. We have to save water, use only according to our wills. Store it for those who suffer from starving.
For example, some areas in islamabad, pay water bills around PKR 2000 per one drum. That;s realy huge for those who don't have any one who rean for them and pay their water bills. Government should supply free water to poor people.
In conclusion, water is an natural resource which must be supply free of cost, we do all our daily houshold works with water. Clean water is also important for drinking daily at least 6 gillas. Poor people must have supply to water free of cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task partially and presents a clear position that clean water should be provided free of charge. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed. While the writer mentions several reasons to support this view, such as domestic use, health benefits, and affordability issues for poor people, these points are often repetitive or lack sufficient extension. For instance, the discussion on daily usage lists multiple domestic tasks like cleaning and brushing teeth without providing deeper analysis or broader societal implications. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to develop their arguments more fully by exploring counterarguments or providing more elaborated explanations for why public provision is necessary.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organisation in the essay, with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. Paragraphing is attempted, but the transitions between sentences and paragraphs can feel abrupt and mechanical. Cohesive devices are sometimes inadequate or repetitive, such as the frequent reliance on simple connectors like 'and' or 'for example'. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in sentences where pronouns do not clearly refer to preceding nouns. To improve, the writer should ensure that ideas flow logically from one to the next and make more varied and accurate use of cohesive devices to connect sentences and paragraphs smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'natural resource' and 'affordability', but this is accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form, such as 'take bath with water', 'inner body sysyem will clean', and 'unintensioly'. There are also spelling errors, such as 'teath', 'crusial', and 'houshold'. These lexical inaccuracies and limitations sometimes cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the response from achieving a higher score. To improve, the student needs to expand their vocabulary range, pay closer attention to collocations and word forms, and check their spelling more carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences, while attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with prepositions, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries, such as 'I highly agree from this point of view', 'drink clean water can also improve', and 'some areas in islamabad, pay water bills'. Punctuation errors are also present, such as incorrect semicolon usage and run-on structures. These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader. To progress, the writer should work on increasing sentence variety, mastering complex sentence structures, and improving basic grammatical accuracy regarding subject-verb agreement and prepositional use.
