Student answer (Band 5.0)

In modern era, every country gave basic rights to his citizens and every house of any have water supply that is provided by the the government free of cost. Its state responsibility to give access every citizen to its basic rights and needs. From my persnal perspective, its one of the basic need of every citizen in the country and the goverment also need to provide these rights to its every citizen.

In general, every house don't have a water supply for drinking the water. He need to goes or went outside for taking pure water from nearby water plants. Therefore,in rural areas most of the people of country taking water from filteratation plants. It,s the basic right of the people of my country to provide a good supply of water with no bill charges. The government need to attention on thismajor issue.

Eventually, the mineral water is the basic need of every person .So, if the goverment of our country lied a pipeline for the access of mineral water in small rural areas, the people of these villages and became more happy and comfortable with that.I agree thats good to supply water in huge cities, but I,m more happy if the goverment focus on the problem of rural areas pipeline.

In the conclusion, every home need the water, so thats why, the government provided water supply in free of cost. And I totally agree with that , it,s government responsibility to take care of its citizen. From my observation, the goverment also provide water supply into smaller villages/rural areas for the good quality of every citizen of our country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position of agreement regarding free water supplies for all homes. However, the ideas remain limited and under-developed throughout the essay. While the writer touches on the importance of basic rights and the specific challenges faced by rural communities, the arguments are repetitive and lack sufficient support or relevant examples. For instance, the discussion on rural areas simply states that people go to filtration plants without elaborating on the socioeconomic impacts or practicalities of providing free pipeline access. To move up, the writer needs to extend their ideas with more detailed explanations, concrete examples, and a broader exploration of both sides of the argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organisation with distinct paragraphs representing an introduction, body points, and a conclusion, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or repetitively, such as 'Eventually' to start the third paragraph and 'In the conclusion' at the end. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in pronoun usage and repetitive sentence structures that disrupt the logical flow. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs feels disjointed because ideas jump abruptly from general human rights to specific rural pipelines. Improving progression and selecting more accurate, varied cohesive devices would greatly enhance the overall structure.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'mineral water' and 'filtration plants', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice and word form, including 'persnal', 'goverment', and 'lied a pipeline'. Spelling and morphological inaccuracies appear frequently, such as 'free of cost' instead of free of charge, which occasionally causes difficulty for the reader in grasping the exact intended meaning. To achieve a higher band, the writer must expand their lexical range and pay closer attention to spelling, word formation, and natural collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and repetitive patterns. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to frequent errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions. Examples of these issues include 'every country gave basic rights', 'every house don't have', 'He need to goes or went outside', and punctuation errors like spacing around commas and apostrophes. These persistent errors cause noticeable difficulty for the reader. To progress, the writer needs to master basic agreement rules, improve control over simple and complex sentence forms, and reduce foundational grammatical mistakes.
