In modern life, clean water supply is becoming increasingly important. Nowadays, many people believe that every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge. Others argue that it may leads to several problems. I believe every home should have a water supply that is provided free of cost because its benefits far outweigh its disadvantages. In this essay i will explain the reasons for my opinion.
There are several reason why I hold this view. The primary reason is that availablity of water supply in every home enables people to drink clean water, because people do no need to go anywhere for a clean water they can easily access free of cost in their home. Moreover, it provides additional advantages such as clean water stays people healthy, hydrate. Everyone can easily access water for free of cost. Another significant point is that availability of water not only benefits individuals but also has a considerable impact on society such as everyone can drink clean water free of cost. Furthermore, its positive influence extends to both society and the economy. This makes an important issue that deserves careful consideration.
To conslude, Although accessability of clean of water free of cost may have few minors drawbacks, its advantages are far more significant. Therefore, i believe that it is a trend that should be welcomed.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response sits at this level because it responds to the task only minimally and fails to meet the length requirement, coming in at 225 words (with 25 words copied directly from the prompt not counted). The student attempts to present a position by stating, 'I believe every home should have a water supply that is provided free of cost,' but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For example, the body paragraphs merely repeat similar points about drinking clean water and improving quality of life without providing sufficient supporting evidence, specific examples, or extension of ideas. To reach a higher band, the writer must ensure the word count exceeds the 250-word minimum and fully develop their main arguments with well-reasoned examples and a more thorough exploration of both sides of the issue.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The essay displays some basic organization with paragraph breaks, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas throughout the text. While transitional markers like 'Moreover,' 'Furthermore,' and 'To conslude,' are attempted, cohesive devices are frequently repetitive and mechanical. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the pronoun use in 'this makes an important issue,' which lacks a precise antecedent. The progression within the body paragraphs stalls due to circular reasoning and repetitive phrasing about access to clean water. To improve Coherence and Cohesion, the writer needs to logically sequence distinct ideas across paragraphs, vary cohesive devices naturally rather than relying on formulaic transitions, and ensure that each paragraph builds progressively on the central thesis.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey a basic message about water supply. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'availability,' 'favorable positions,' and 'overall well-being,' but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling. For instance, phrases like 'clean water stays people healthy, hydrate' demonstrate inaccurate word forms and collocations, while typos such as 'conslude' and 'minors' detract from precision. To achieve a higher band, the student must expand their lexical repertoire, utilize precise phrasing without relying on repetitive templates, and carefully check word forms and spelling to ensure clear communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few faulty complex attempts. Frequent errors are present throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('availablity of water supply... enables,' 'it may leads'), missing articles ('for a clean water,' 'for a clean water they can easily access'), incorrect prepositions ('in their home'), and punctuation/capitalization mistakes (e.g., lowercase 'i'). These errors often cause difficulty or hesitation for the reader. To move up to the next band, the student must increase the frequency of error-free sentences, improve control over basic sentence patterns, articles, and verb tenses, and demonstrate a wider variety of complex grammatical structures with greater accuracy.
