Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the modern era, all the people have a right to drink a clean water. Consuming a fresh water makes people healthy. Therefor, government should supply a fresh water in free of cost. So, i completely agree with the given statment.

First and foremost, nowadays drink a clean water is must be necessary thing beacuse human body aquiry 70% of water. Moreover, neat water is required for to be hydrated in addition to that we can gain lots of vitamis and nutrition. Providing a clean water is a job of government because they have only access to clean a water from see and etc side. Apart from it, also they should give it free beacuse lower middal class can not afford a water bills due to that government should give it free.

On the other hand, lots of counties still suffering from clean water issues like South Africa, Zimbabe, West countries and etc. So for that kind of country they should start gredually like first build a small plat in every distric than provide it to the people. However, government should build a small water purifier in each and every home so people can use it while they need to drink water. A significant people still have low income due to that they can not pay a bill of water so for them authorities should give them free.

In conclusion, all the people deserve to drink a clean water without any pay beacuse 75% of area of earth has been covered from water so government should build a technology to clean that water and provide to the relevent people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position that clean water should be provided free of charge, supported by reasons relating to health and affordability. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the mention that governments have access to clean water from the sea is stated abruptly without sufficient expansion or logical extension. Similarly, the reference to countries like South Africa and Zimbabwe touches on a relevant global issue, but the explanation lacks depth and remains somewhat repetitive. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to present fully extended and well-supported ideas throughout, ensuring that each main point is thoroughly elaborated with relevant examples and detailed explanations rather than brief assertions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organization evident through the use of paragraphing and simple transitional markers such as 'First and foremost', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed, and there is no clear overall logical flow between sentences. Cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive, such as the excessive use of 'so', 'because', and 'due to that' to link clauses together. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making some transitions abrupt. To improve, the writer should employ a wider and more accurate range of cohesive devices flexibly, ensuring that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one with smooth transitions rather than relying on mechanical connectors.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, containing noticeable errors that occasionally impede understanding. The student uses basic and repetitive terms, alongside numerous word choice and word formation inaccuracies such as 'in free of cost', 'drink a clean water', 'lower middal class', 'gredually', 'plat', and 'distric'. Spelling errors are also present throughout the text. Attempts to use less common vocabulary are constrained by these frequent slips. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their lexical range, demonstrate greater precision in word choice and collocations, and minimize spelling mistakes to ensure smooth communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside faulty attempts at complex forms. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader, including persistent issues with articles ('a clean water', 'in free of cost'), subject-verb agreement ('all the people have', 'government should give'), and awkward clause structures ('nowadays drink a clean water is must be necessary thing'). Punctuation is also weak, marked by lowercase 'i' pronouns and comma splices. To progress to the next level, the writer needs to increase the proportion of error-free sentences and demonstrate better control over complex sentence patterns, verb forms, and articles.
