Student answer (Band 5.0)
Water is a basic thing for human and all the organisms who lives in this world. that's why clean water is basic living organism right many of the people who lived in this word they connect your home with the water supply and they pay for it montly OR yearly according to the society rules. Fresh and clean water is necessecity of the human life and all the animals and also the trees. Water is the main important thing to farm the seeds of fruits and the vegetables which we are use in daily life. Human body consist of about 70% of water. Doctors suggest to a person drink 8 (eight) glass of water in a day to live healty and longer without any serious health issue. In summer we fill the pool with water and enjoy the beautiful evening with friends and other special one in the pool party.
On the other hand, providing unlimited water completely free of charge could lead to unnecessary wastage. If people do not have to pay anything, some households may use more water than they actually need. For example, people might leave taps running, wash cars frequently or use excessive amounts of water for gardening. This could put pressure on water supplies, especially in areas that already experience droughts or water shortages. Moreover, governments need money to maintain pipelines, treatment plants and other major maintainence which is not free of cost. At the end I say water is the Important and beautiful goft and blessing by the GOD.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response addresses the prompt only partially, touching upon the general importance of water and the potential drawbacks of providing it for free, but it fails to maintain a clear position throughout. While the second paragraph introduces relevant ideas concerning water wastage and maintenance costs, the first paragraph is largely composed of tangential observations about human body composition, summer pool parties, and general biological needs rather than directly debating whether water should be provided free of charge. Ideas are limited and under-developed, relying on simple assertions rather than fully articulated arguments. To move to a higher band, the writer must ensure all parts of the prompt are directly addressed with a sustained position and well-developed arguments supported by relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some basic organisation in the response, dividing the introduction of water's importance from the counter-argument regarding costs and wastage. However, there is no clear overall progression; the transition between the disjointed biological facts in the first paragraph is abrupt. Cohesive devices are either missing or inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'At the end I say' and repetitive use of coordinating conjunctions. Paragraphing is attempted, but the first paragraph groups entirely distinct ideas together without logical sequencing. To achieve a higher band, the writer needs to logically sequence ideas, ensure a clear progression of thought from sentence to sentence, and use a wider and more accurate range of cohesive devices to link paragraphs and arguments smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common terms and subject-specific vocabulary, such as 'droughts', 'water shortages', and 'pipelines', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word formation, such as 'basic living organism right', 'montly', 'necessecity', 'main important thing', and 'goft'. Spelling errors like 'montly', 'necessecity', 'healty', and 'goft' occur, though they do not completely impede communication. To improve to a higher band, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, ensuring greater precision in word choice and correct word formation, while eliminating basic spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response displays a limited range of sentence structures, relying primarily on simple sentences alongside faulty attempts at complex ones. Frequent grammatical errors are present throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('all the organisms who lives', 'Human body consist'), missing articles ('drink 8 glass of water'), incorrect prepositions ('in a day'), and punctuation errors. These frequent errors can cause some difficulty for the reader and obscure the intended meaning. To reach the next band, the writer must demonstrate better control over basic grammatical structures, improve punctuation, and incorporate a wider mix of error-free complex sentences.
