Clean water is an essential human need therefore every household should be provided with free and reliable water. I agree with the clean water supply.

Clean water has many advantages it is essential for human survival. Every people need clean water in cooking, drinking and basic hygiene practices. Access to clean water should not depend on person income. Water is more important than many other basic services. Clean water can reduce water borne diseases. It can provide hygiene and sanitation. People can wash their hands and maintain personal hygiene regularly. Poor household cannot afford financially in their bills. Water can also reduce diseases come from contaminated water. Free water can reduce their burden. Many people can use their monthly income in education and other purposes. Water can also use in washing face and other things. It can reduce burden between rich and poor. Children also drink water daily and maintain their health. School can maintain children health by hygiene. Healthy student can go to school regularly. Public fund can be used in water supply. Government can give free and safe water.

On the other hand, there are many disadvantages of water supply. Sometimes water come from streets and any other things. Water is not clean or safe sometimes. If student have diseased, then monthly income waste in hospital checkups and bills. People may waste their water if they do not pay it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position of agreement regarding free water supply for every home. However, the ideas remain quite limited and under-developed throughout the essay. While the writer mentions relevant points such as reducing water-borne diseases and helping poor households manage their monthly income, these ideas lack proper extension and support with specific examples. Sentences tend to repeat similar thoughts regarding health and hygiene, such as 'Every people need clean water in cooking, drinking and basic hygiene practices' followed closely by 'Water can provide hygiene and sanitation.' To reach a higher level, the writer needs to fully develop each main idea with thorough explanations and concrete examples rather than relying on brief, repetitive statements.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays some overall organization with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding attempt, but there is a lack of clear overall progression. Paragraphing is noticeably weak, as the second body paragraph suddenly introduces counter-arguments and disadvantages ('On the other hand, there are many disadvantages of water supply') without a logical transition, and the conclusion is incomplete and syntactically fractured. Furthermore, cohesive devices are inadequate and repetitive, relying heavily on basic sentence starters or simple juxtaposition without effective signposting. Pronoun referencing and logical links between sentences are often missing or unclear, making the flow somewhat disjointed for the reader.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer successfully employs some common topic-related terms such as 'clean water', 'hygiene and sanitation', and 'monthly income', but these are repeated frequently, as seen with 'water' and 'disease'. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices, such as 'Every people', 'person income', 'diseases come from', and 'diseased' instead of 'diseases' or 'ill'. Additionally, collocation errors occur, such as 'monthly income waste in hospital checkups'. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the vocabulary from achieving the flexibility and precision required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences. When the writer attempts complex sentence forms, they are often faulty, as seen in the incomplete structure of the conclusion: 'although providing free water is necessary to maintain excessive consumption in cooking and daily hygiene practices and place a financial burden in government.' There are frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles ('in education', 'in government'), pluralization errors ('Poor household cannot afford'), subject-verb agreement issues ('If student have diseased'), and incorrect prepositions ('afford financially in their bills'). These frequent errors disrupt the reading process and highlight a lack of control over more complex grammatical patterns.
