Student answer (Band 6.0)
Access of clean water is an essential part of human life, and every one needs water for drinking, cooking and cleaning. Therefore every house hold should receive a free water supply. I agree with this because clean water is a basic nescessity, and free access can help for poor families.
Firstly, clean water is necessary for maintaining good health. People need safe water every day, and without it, they can suffer from serious diseases. If the government provides a basic amount of water free of charge, every family can have access to safe water regardless of their financial situation. For example, low-income families may struggle to pay monthly water bills, so free water can reduce their financial burden.
Secondly, free water can improve the living conditions of poor society. In many developing countries, some families cannot afford basic necessities because their income is very low. Providing free water can allow them to spend their limited money on food, education and healthcare. However, many people should be encourage to avoid wasting water because it is a limited natural resource.
However, providing unlimited water completely free of charge can increase water wastage. Some people should use more water than they actually need. Therefore, governments should provide a fair amount of water free for needy people and charge a small fee for additional usage.
In conclusion, I agree that every home should have access to a free basic supply of clean water because it is important for health and daily life. however, using this method can provide clean water to every needy people and also safe water for future need.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive free clean water, and you give relevant reasons concerning health and the financial pressures on low-income families. The example of families struggling with monthly bills helps make the first reason concrete. You also recognise the counterargument that free provision could encourage waste and propose a basic free allowance with charges for extra use. However, the second main point about improving living conditions is less fully explained, and the final claim about protecting water for future needs is not developed. To strengthen the response, explain how your proposed allowance could be set or targeted, and support each main reason with a more specific example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, a counterargument and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly” and “However” make the progression easy to follow, and the central position remains consistent. Some connections are less smooth, though. The shift from helping poor families to the risk of wastage is understandable but could be linked more explicitly to your proposal for a basic allowance. In the conclusion, “however” introduces a contrast that is not clearly expressed, and “this method” has an imprecise reference. Use linking expressions to show the exact relationship between ideas, and make the conclusion restate your position and qualification more directly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use adequate vocabulary for the topic, including “financial burden,” “limited natural resource,” “basic necessities” and “living conditions.” These phrases help communicate the main arguments, although the range is sometimes repetitive, particularly around “free water,” “basic” and “people.” There are also noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems: “Access of clean water” is not the natural phrase, “poor society” is unclear, and “nescessity” is misspelled. “Safe water for future need” is also imprecise. These do not prevent the reader from understanding your position, but more accurate collocations and a wider range of topic-specific terms would make the argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex forms, including conditional sentences such as “If the government provides a basic amount … every family can have access” and a concession beginning “However.” Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “many people should be encourage” needs a passive participle, while “Some people should use more water” does not express the intended possibility of overuse. The final sentence also has an unclear structure, and “however” should begin with a capital letter after the full stop. Review passive verb forms, modal meaning and sentence boundaries, and proofread punctuation. Greater control of these forms would make your reasoning easier to follow.
