Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is considered that easy accessibilty of clean water is a basic need of every individuals. Hence each house should have a water access that is provided free of cost. This essay disagree with the given notion because that will increase the wastage of water and excessive use of water bodies.

To commence with why easy access of clean water has the negative impact on the water bodies. The first and foremost reason is the wastage of clean water. In other words, fresh and clean water is limited, if individuals may waste the clean water in bathing, washing clothes and other chores, then this will reduce the quantity of water for future generation. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear disagreement in the introduction and give a relevant concern: that free access could encourage waste and reduce water available to future generations. However, the response addresses the question only minimally. It does not explain whether water should be free for every household, distinguish basic needs from excessive use, or develop a second reason. The example is left unfinished after “For example,” so the main point receives no supporting evidence. The response also falls short of the required 250 words, leaving the argument substantially incomplete. To strengthen it, explain your position in detail, support each reason with a complete example, and address how a fair water-supply system could work.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a basic structure: an introductory position followed by a paragraph giving a reason, and signposting such as “To commence with” and “Moreover” helps show the intended sequence. The central idea about water waste is generally traceable. However, there is no completed example or conclusion, and the paragraph ends abruptly, so the response has no clear overall progression to a finished argument. Some linking is mechanical, and the opening phrase “To commence with why…” does not connect smoothly to the point that follows. Build a clear sequence of introduction, developed supporting paragraphs, and conclusion; use transitions to show relationships between ideas rather than relying mainly on formulaic signposts.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “fresh and clean water,” “water bodies,” “wastage,” and “future generation,” which makes the subject clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “the first and foremost reason.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward: “easy accessibilty,” “a water access,” “the importance … deduct,” and “misuse of fresh water” do not express the intended meanings naturally. “Access” is also repeated frequently, and the spelling of “accessibility” is incorrect. Aim for precise, natural combinations such as “access to clean water,” “the importance of water may be overlooked,” and “waste water.” This would make your argument easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure beginning “if individuals may waste…” and a clause introduced by “Hence.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “This essay disagree” has subject–verb disagreement, while “if clean water are easily available” has incorrect agreement. The sentence beginning “In other words” also combines clauses awkwardly, and “public will misuse” lacks an appropriate determiner or plural form. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and plural nouns, and make conditional sentences complete and logically structured. Shorter, carefully checked sentences would help you communicate your ideas more reliably.
