Student answer (Band 5.5)
Supply of non polluted and clean water is essential and basic requirement for daily life which comes under labor right of humans. In this regard , many individuals think that water should be supply in home for free of cost while a very less number of people disagree with it . In my opinion , right to use water for free of cost is basic necessity of human beings irrespective of the class and area .
Firstly , in order to live accordance with the principals of Pakistan .It is mentioned in the constitution that access to basic facilities and essentials are right to every citizen of Pakistan. For example ,In my opinion many people living in the rural areas or people who belong to the lower class will not be able to pay charges to get clean water to do house hold chores and for drinking water .
Secondly ,in many parts of the country where supply of clean water is not provided .People suffers from dihorea and many medical issues including kidney stones which is a major medical condition . For this reason , i think that getting clean water across the country is important for better lifestyle and restrict people from getting medical problems . In regard to the poor , people who are rich and are upper will be able to purchase mineral water bottles and canes from the shops which is why selling clean water has become a business in Pakistan and shortages are occurring . Because Poor are not getting the right and rich are getting it for granted.
In conclusion to this , while lower class people in the country are suffering to get clean and pure water rich people are purchasing the water for a huge amount which makes it a rare essential to get .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you support free access to clean water, and you give relevant reasons involving affordability, health, and inequality. The examples about rural and lower-income households and people buying bottled water help connect the argument to Pakistan. However, the response only partly develops the task. It does not fully explain why the water supply to every home should be free, as opposed to ensuring affordable or subsidised access, and the constitutional point is asserted rather than explained. The claim that water shortages occur because selling water is a business also needs clearer support. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example, and address the practical implications of providing water free of charge.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. The ideas are generally relevant and the reader can follow the broad argument from affordability to health and inequality. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. For example, the second body paragraph moves from illness to bottled-water purchases and then to shortages without clearly showing how these points connect. Linking phrases such as “For this reason” and “In conclusion to this” are used, but some connections feel mechanical or do not clarify the relationship between ideas. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “basic facilities,” “rural areas,” “medical condition,” and “shortages,” which allows you to discuss access and inequality. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the meaning less clear. Examples include “labor right,” “water should be supply,” “restrict people from getting medical problems,” and “getting the right.” Repetition of “clean water,” “people,” and “rich” also limits precision. Aim to learn natural phrases for this topic, such as “a fundamental human right,” “provide a household water supply,” and “prevent waterborne diseases.” Check spelling and word forms, including “diarrhoea,” and choose precise terms for the groups and problems you discuss.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “which,” “while,” and “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the reader work to understand the point. For example, “water should be supply” needs a passive form, while “People suffers” has a subject–verb agreement error. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “in order to live accordance with the principals of Pakistan” is difficult to parse. Commas and spaces around punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses only when their relationship is clear.
