Student answer (Band 5.5)
Clean water is the fundamental need of every human and living nature on the earth. Some people often argued that human must be facilitated with clean water and authorities and suppliers should be charge any money from locals. I agree with this view because it would lessen the health concerns and reduce the utility expenditures.
One of the major reasons why people should be facilitated with purified water is human well-being. The contaminated water may contains invisible chemical, harmful fibres and physical debris which can spread infectious diseases and illness in people. It can also show short term symptoms of stomach upset, diarrheas and fever and continous use of unclean water can cause people with serious long term health risk.
Another reason is the effect on expenditure and reduce the amount of utility bills. In recent years, global inflation has become a significant issue in many countries and providing filtered water without charging can lessen the stress from people. When poeple pay taxes on other bills, amenties, products, items, and others, then this is the right of every local to avail basic need as clean water. Moreover, people can spend that money on somewhere else and make their lifestyle better.
Several steps can be taken to solve this health concerns due to unclean water. First of all, people can boil the tap water at their home before using it in and cooking and drinking. Another step can be take by government and authorities to restrict suppliers to to provide filtered water to locals; furthermore, organizations and big businesses can also fund in this development. For instance, numerous companies are advertisiing their brands on water bottles that are for free in many countries.
In conclusion, this is the serious issue in many region where people are struggling with serious health problems due to unclean water. If ther are getting the purified water, they will have to pay expensive amount to authorities. Governments and organization can promote the awareness among people and solve this concerns.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that clean water should be provided without charge, and you give relevant reasons concerning health and household costs. The discussion of contaminated water and the pressure of inflation supports your view, while the example of companies providing bottled water adds some illustration. However, the argument is not fully developed in places. The paragraph about solutions shifts from the question of free household supply to boiling water and restricting suppliers, and the conclusion introduces the idea that people may have to pay an expensive amount, which conflicts with your stated position. Explain more directly how free provision could be funded and why it should apply to every home. This would make the response more consistently focused and developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, separate supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally have clear central topics, and signposts such as “One of the major reasons,” “Another reason” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, progression is sometimes weakened by ideas that do not connect clearly to the argument. The paragraph beginning “Several steps can be taken” moves into household treatment and business sponsorship rather than developing the case for free water, and the conclusion does not clearly resolve the position. Some linking is also mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Another” and “Moreover.” Keep each paragraph focused on one aspect of the question and use clearer references to connect examples to your main claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “contaminated water,” “infectious diseases,” “global inflation” and “utility bills,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. There is also some effort to use more formal language. However, inaccurate word choice and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make phrases unclear, as in “facilitated with purified water,” “fund in this development” and “promote the awareness.” Spelling errors such as “poeple,” “continous” and “advertisiing” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural, precise combinations rather than choosing formal-sounding words that do not fit the context. For example, use “provided with clean water,” “fund this development” and “raise awareness.” Proofreading for spelling and word forms would further strengthen your vocabulary control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional sentence beginning “If” and clauses introduced by “because,” “when” and “which.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main ideas are usually understandable. However, some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction remain. For example, “The contaminated water may contains” should use the base verb after “may,” while “the effect on expenditure and reduce” does not maintain a parallel grammatical structure. The final sentence, “If ther are getting the purified water,” is also difficult to interpret because its subject and verb pattern are unclear. Review modal verbs, subject–verb agreement and clause formation, then check punctuation and sentence boundaries to make complex sentences more controlled.
