Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear general position near the end: “I am agree” that water should be provided free of charge, and you connect this view to water being a basic human need. However, the response addresses the question only minimally. The explanation that government provision would avoid burdening poor people is relevant, but it is not developed with a clear example or explanation of how free household supply would work. The point about dirty water causing health problems is also relevant, yet remains vague. The opening is difficult to interpret and does not establish your argument clearly. The response is 56 words below the required minimum, which further limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop two relevant reasons and support each with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic attempt to move from the importance of water to your opinion, and words such as “because,” “then” and “for example” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the response is presented as one long, loosely connected block, with no clear paragraphing or progression from introduction to supporting points and conclusion. Several ideas are repeated, including that water is a basic need and should be free, while the relationship between government provision, taxes and free supply is hard to follow. Some linking words are used inaccurately or mechanically, so they do not clarify the argument. Organise the essay into distinct paragraphs, give each paragraph one main point, and use clear links such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore” and “Therefore” only where they express the intended relationship.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “clean water,” “government,” “poor people,” “dirty water” and “health problems,” so the reader can identify the subject of your argument. However, the vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand. For example, “basic struture of body” and “the issue of gills” do not communicate your intended meaning clearly; “provided from free amount” is also an unnatural expression. Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and check spelling, especially for key words. More precise phrases such as “access to safe drinking water” and “place a financial burden on low-income households” would help you express relevant ideas more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to express reasons using simple clauses and some longer sentences with “because,” and the reader can understand your broad position. However, sentence structures are very limited, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction often make the meaning unclear. Examples include “The information show,” “the water are basic,” and “The 75 percent water use the body.” Several clauses are joined without clear punctuation, as in the long section beginning “The every one people alive the world.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled subordinate clauses. For example: “Clean water is essential for human health. If households cannot afford it, they may rely on unsafe sources.”
