Student answer (Band 6.0)
Supply to clean water is essential humain right. Therefore each person should have a access of a water supply that is offered free of charge. I completely agree with this view beacause water should supply for free of charge beacuse its neccessary for good health and decent standard of living.
Firstly, clean water is crucial for maintaing good health. People need it for drinking, cooking, washing dishes and keeping their homes clean. If family cannot afford clean water, they maybe forced to use unsafe sources, which lead to serious diseases. This problen is common among poor communities in developing countries. For instance, some families in rural areaa of Pakistan depend on contaminted water, which can cause illness such as diarrhoea and other waterborne diseases. Providing free access to basic amount of clean water would help prevent these problem and improve health.
Secondly, free water would reduce the financial burden on low-income families. Many households already struggle to pay for food, education, electricity and other essential needs. Having to pay for al their water consumption can make their situation even more difficult. Government should therefore ensure that every family receives enough water to meet its basic daily needs without charge. This would promote equality and help people live healthier lives.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that every household should receive a basic supply of clean water free of charge. Although governments must manage water resources carefully, nobody should be denied this essential resource beacuse of poverty.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I completely agree”—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give two relevant reasons: protecting health and easing the financial pressure on low-income households. The Pakistan example also supports the health argument by showing the consequences of relying on contaminated water. However, the second reason is less fully developed: you list other household expenses but do not explain in detail how free provision would work or why it is fair and sustainable. The response is also five words below the stated minimum. To strengthen the response, develop both arguments more evenly and clarify that you support a free basic allowance rather than unlimited water, a distinction your final paragraph begins to make.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the example is placed appropriately within the health paragraph. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and also shows some features of stronger progression. However, connections between ideas are sometimes basic or repetitive, and references such as “these problem” do not clearly match the plural idea they refer to. You could improve flow by varying transitions and linking each example or explanation explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “clean water,” “unsafe sources,” “financial burden,” “low-income families,” and “waterborne diseases.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and some phrases show an attempt to use more precise language than basic everyday terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “humain,” “neccessary,” “contaminted,” and “al their.” There are also awkward collocations such as “Supply to clean water” and “a access of a water supply,” which make the opening less natural. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, especially for access, provision, and affordability. This would make your adequate range more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple sentences and more developed structures, including a conditional sentence: “If family cannot afford clean water, they maybe forced to use unsafe sources,” and a relative clause in “sources, which lead to serious diseases.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, and the paragraph structure gives you opportunities to show varied grammar. Some errors remain in articles, agreement, and verb forms: “a access,” “If family,” “which lead,” and “Government should” need adjustment. The opening sentence also lacks a complete grammatical construction. Practise checking singular and plural subjects, articles, and modal or passive forms; for example, “families may be forced” and “which can lead.”
