Student answer (Band 5.0)

There is an on going discussion about every home should have a free water supply with zero charges because access to clean water is a basic human right. Frankly speaking, I am completely agreed with this topic. Because clean water is a basic need for daily life. In addition clean water can save from human illness.

One major factor is that, people cannot survive without water furthermore, that is pretty obvious that clean water can be more and more beneficial for humans. It is necessary to have a clean water supply with zero taxes or charges from government. For instance most of the common illness spread from poor quality of water, viruses, becterias and more like that however, poor quality of water is one major reason of illness. Government should provide a clean water supply to each households along with that, through social media platform such as youtube, instagram and more; government authorities should send messages to their citizens. Not only government; their citizens should support their government to take this type of step. Along with that government should not charge any kind of tax or charges for supplying clean water supplies to their citizens because it is a basic human right.

Government should provide devices which can show water quality. Along with that, they need to pay attention to their worker. Because in India; previously many workers conncted sewer lines to many households which effected children a lot. Throughout many changes government can supply clean water to their citizens. Also their citizens can access clean water as well.

To conclude, becuase of poor quality of water most of the people gets effect; government should take few steps to stop along with that, it is necessary to have a clean water supplies from government with zero tax or charges to their citizens because it is a basic human need .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you agree that households should receive clean water without charge, and you give relevant reasons, including health risks from contaminated water and the government’s responsibility to provide safe supplies. The reference to sewer connections in India also offers a potentially useful example. However, the response addresses the issue only partially because several points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the suggestion to use social media is not clearly connected to ensuring free, safe water, and the example about workers affecting children is difficult to understand. Develop the reasoning by explaining how free provision protects people who cannot afford water and how it could be funded or managed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its general direction. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and linking expressions are repetitive or awkward. The second paragraph moves from survival to illness, then to social-media messages and citizens’ support without showing how each point connects. Phrases such as “Along with that” and “however” are used repeatedly, sometimes without a clear logical relationship. The conclusion repeats the main claim but does not bring the supporting ideas together. Give each paragraph one main purpose, order its explanation and example clearly, and use fewer, more precise transitions and references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “clean water supply,” “poor quality of water,” “human illness” and “water quality,” which makes your main subject clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “government should provide” and “zero taxes or charges.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “I am completely agreed,” “save from human illness” and “common illness spread from poor quality of water.” Spelling errors such as “becterias,” “conncted” and “becuase” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise expressions for public services, health risks and affordability, and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast with “Not only government; their citizens should support their government” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles and verb forms occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to follow. For example, “I am completely agreed with this topic” has an incorrect verb form, while “most of the people gets effect” has agreement and sentence-structure problems. Several fragments begin with “Because,” and punctuation around clauses is inconsistent. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check subject–verb agreement, articles and verb forms.
