Student answer (Band 5.5)

Water is indespensable part of our life. Even every organism need water to live directly or indirectly. Moreover, it is a fudamental right of a man. So, some people say that it should be have a water supply for every home for free. There has been considerable debate on this statement whether it has advantage or diadvantage.

A fraction of people believe that water is part and parcel for our lives. So, there is need to provide water in every home for free. As we know, water is required for every household chores such as for drinking, washing, watering to plants, bathing and many more. In addition, clean water is important fo good health. Besides, many diseases and health regarded issues can be seen with the deficiency of water.

On the flip side, some individuals think that water is essentail so it should not free of cost. Since it is need to save and store clean water for next generation. If water is free, people do not use it wisely because we seen that which is not expensive people misuse it. Moreover, people use it for main purposes such as drinking, bathing and cooking food. However, if it is free then most public use it as cleaning, washing cars and floors daily, which is not good. First and foremost, people buy everything what they need so they buy water as well as. Nevertheless, use it wisely

Different people have different notions regarding the statement but I have sound reasons to advocate that the water is necessary but it should not be free of charge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the question and give a clear final position: water is necessary, but “it should not be free of charge.” The discussion includes relevant reasons on both sides, such as household needs and the risk that free water could be wasted. However, the position is not fully consistent: the opening presents the free-supply view, while the conclusion opposes it, and the essay does not clearly explain why charging is preferable despite water being a basic right. Some claims, including that people would misuse free water, need explanation or a specific example. Develop the central argument more fully and make your own stance clear from the introduction through to the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has an overall essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “In addition,” “On the flip side,” and “Nevertheless” help signal relationships between ideas. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear, and the progression within the second body paragraph is difficult to follow: the points about saving water, household uses, cleaning cars, and buying water are not clearly organised into a single argument. The final “Nevertheless, use it wisely” is also an incomplete thought. Group related reasons together, use clearer references to show whose opinion is being discussed, and ensure each paragraph develops one main point in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “fundamental right,” “deficiency,” “misuse,” and “next generation,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also several noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “indespensable,” “fudamental,” “diadvantage,” and “essentail.” Some phrases are unnatural or imprecise, including “water is part and parcel for our lives,” “health regarded issues,” and “watering to plants.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less clear, even though the main ideas remain understandable. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; using simpler, precise expressions is more effective than relying on phrases that do not fit the context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including conditional reasoning with “If water is free” and a subordinate clause beginning “Since it is need to save and store clean water.” However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms are frequent enough to make some sentences awkward or incomplete. For example, “Even every organism need water” has an agreement problem, while “it should be have a water supply” has an incorrect verb construction. “Since it is need to save…” is not a complete, correctly formed clause, and “Nevertheless, use it wisely” lacks a clear subject. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb patterns, and check articles and verb forms when revising.
