Student answer (Band 5.5)
Ability to get clean water is a fundamental right of human. A water supply should provide water without charge to every home. I strongly agree with this view every household should have access to a sufficient supply of clean water because many poor people do not have enough money to purchase water but I do not think so providing unlimited water is a good practical solution.
On the one hand, governments have to spend a large amount of money for the purification and water supply. Therefore, its difficult to provide unlimited water for everyone. Governments need enough funds in return to continue supply of water.
Many areas are away from the big cities so its not easy to provide water them without any strategy. Such as in pakistan sindh parker is passing through that kind of situation. So Goverments bound to colllect money from people.
On the other hand, water has its importance and deficiency may cause troubles. The main reason they are facing several diseases is their inability to have enough clean water for drinking. They have to fight with severe diseases which caused by deficiency of water or by drinking polluted water. For example african countries having biggest issue of water because most of their area is dessert. Human body is around 60% makes up by water. It is also a source of necessary minerals and it helps in diggestion system. Therefore in those areas where poor people are living goverment should have to provide clean water without charging a large amount.
In conclusion, although supplying axcessive amount of clean water to every human and area is not easy or without collecting funds is difficult, goverments should have to give access of enough clean water to poor people so they can survive without getting ill.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support free access to sufficient clean water for poor households, while distinguishing this from unlimited use. You address both the practical cost of supplying water and the health consequences of inadequate access, with examples involving remote areas and African countries. This is relevant and covers the main parts of the question. However, the discussion is uneven: the cost argument is asserted rather than explained in detail, and the examples are broad or unclear. The response also shifts from the prompt’s proposal for every home to a recommendation focused mainly on poor people. Develop the distinction between a basic free allowance and paid excess use, and explain how this could work in practice.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from government costs to remote locations and then to collecting money without clearly connecting these points. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “they” in “The main reason they are facing several diseases” do not clearly identify who is meant. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it in a clear sequence, using more precise references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “purification,” “water supply,” “polluted water,” and “deficiency,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “a sufficient supply” and “severe diseases.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes distract or make meaning unclear, including “dessert” for “desert,” “axcessive,” and “Human body is around 60% makes up by water.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “fight with severe diseases” and “source of necessary minerals.” Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, say “suffer from serious illnesses” and “the human body is about 60% water.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrast with “although” and a reason introduced by “because.” This shows some range, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical control are frequent enough to make several sentences awkward or difficult to understand. For example, “I strongly agree with this view every household should have access” joins two clauses without suitable punctuation or a connector, while “Human body is around 60% makes up by water” has an incorrect verb structure. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “its difficult” and “governments should have to provide.” Practise building complete clauses and checking each sentence’s subject, verb and punctuation.
