Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is an undeniable fact that access to drinkable water is a basic human right, so every individuals home have rights to access free of charge clean water supply. Although, some might disagree with this statement, I totally agree with notion not only because it is basic human need and maintain equality but also because beneficial for public health. This essay will explore how these justify my opinion.

To commence with, predominant reason that compelled me to agree with this statement is clean water are necessary for all mankind as like air and it should be free for everyone with out any cost. For instance, the study shows more than 1 million people died in the Africa with dehydration.

Furthermore, the additional compelling to support my notion is equality in humans means that drinkable free sources is available for poor to rich families. As result, poor families also get equal right to use water, which makes the families healthier and also prevent viral disease like fiver and liver problems that comes from hard water. For example, Making clean water free and accessible for every person to overcome from health issues especially for poor families.

In Addition, another considerable reason is government responsibility to manage water cleaning plants if the country water is hard and not drinkable using such plants make the water accessible and free which leads to improve the public health as well as environment.

In conclusion, I completely agree with this statement not only because basic human need, maintain equality but also good for health.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction (“I totally agree”) and is maintained in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons concerning basic needs, equality, and public health, so the response addresses the question. The example about deaths from dehydration is relevant, and you also explain how free access could help poorer families. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: the link between free water and equality, for instance, would benefit from a clearer account of how charges prevent access. The discussion of government water-treatment plants is also brief and does not fully show why the supply should be free. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example to make the argument more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion. Its progression from basic need to equality and then government responsibility is generally easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “To commence with,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion.” At times, however, these transitions feel mechanical, and some connections between sentences are unclear. For example, the sentence beginning “For example, Making clean water free…” is a fragment and does not clearly connect to the preceding claim. The paragraph about equality also combines access, health, and disease prevention without a clear sequence. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each paragraph develop one main point in a logical order.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “basic human right,” “dehydration,” “public health,” and “water cleaning plants.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “compelling” and “considerable reason.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less precise: “drinkable free sources,” “overcome from health issues,” and “fiver and liver problems” are examples. Spelling and word-form errors, including “with out” and “In Addition,” also affect the overall control of vocabulary. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “access to safe drinking water” and check spelling and word forms during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “Although some might disagree…” and a concluding structure with “not only…but also.” This shows some range, but grammatical control is inconsistent. For example, “every individuals home have rights” has errors in possessive form, agreement, and sentence construction; “clean water are necessary” also has subject–verb disagreement. Articles and sentence boundaries need attention, as in “the predominant reason” and the fragment “For example, Making clean water free…”. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your overall position, but they make several sentences awkward. Practise checking subject–verb agreement, singular and plural forms, and whether each sentence contains a complete main clause.
