Student answer (Band 5.0)

clean water is the deand of every human being , as it is the basic necessatity of life . for sure i m agree with this stance . human body is composed of 75 percent of water ,we can live without food for round about three days but without water it is impossible to spend even a day .but due to the continous climate change we are lacking the water resources day by day , some resources are getting contaminated becuase of lack of care and precautionary measures . for understanding we can analyse it by seeing how uncontrollably the urban industries are releasing their wastage outside without thinking that these harmful chemicals will seep down and will destroy our ground water resource that is the basic reservior of fresh water . even the people work there are all chemists , they should show some sense of responsibility .because of this all mostly pure water resources are very less majorly in cities .so government should design any startegy in which the local people get the subsidy as in cities getting clean water is a huge problem and it is also not a budget freindly processs as their is a cousin of mine , she recenty came to our place just for a day , she told me how expensive one water tank is it cost ten thousand pakistani rupee per week to refill their water storage containers in their home, and i was totally shocked because here in our town we are not restricted at all to use water .we use this basic thing compeletly with our will , no payment no restiction at all and honestly i M gratefull to Allah swt , that he blessed us with water .so this all shows how water shortage has been started in city centers .if the water purifcation filters will be installed in every house then people will feel at ease even if not in every appartment as in the start it will be a huge project and obviously it will cost a huge amount and it is understood but atleast per residential street . if this initiative will not be taken by our athourties then soon hospital will be full of patients with water born dieseases. and that situation will t be out of control

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that access to clean water should be supported, and you explain why water is essential. The examples about industrial pollution, the cost of a water tank in your cousin’s city, and the risk of water-borne illness are relevant and help connect the issue to real life. However, the response does not fully address the specific proposal that every home should receive its water free of charge. You suggest subsidies and household filters, but do not clearly explain whether water itself should be free for all households or how this could be funded. Develop that central argument, and explain the limits or benefits of free provision, so the response answers the question more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response contains a sequence of related points, moving from water’s importance to pollution, affordability, and possible solutions. However, nearly all of these ideas are placed in one long paragraph, so the reader has little guidance about where one point ends and the next begins. Connectors such as “because of this,” “so,” and “if” are repeated or used to join several different claims, creating a mechanical flow. Some references are also unclear, such as “this all shows” and “that situation.” Organise the essay into distinct paragraphs—for example, your position, the problem and example, and your proposed solution—and use clearer links between each stage of the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “contaminated,” “precautionary measures,” “ground water resource,” and “water born diseases.” These choices show an effort to discuss environmental and public-health issues, but spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. For instance, “demand” is not the best word for the idea that clean water is essential, and “wastage” is less precise than a term for industrial discharge. There is also repetition of basic words such as “water,” “huge,” and “people.” Build a more accurate range of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, including the explanation beginning “because of the continuous climate change” and the conditional idea beginning “if this initiative will not be taken.” This shows some range, but long sentences often contain several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries, and some sentence patterns are not controlled. For example, “I m agree” has an incorrect verb construction, while “if the water purification filters will be installed” uses an unsuitable verb form after “if.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, such as missing sentence capitals and full stops. Practise accurate conditional forms and divide complex ideas into shorter, complete sentences.
