Student answer (Band 5.5)
Acess to water is our basic right to stand back due to that goverment should provide the water supply for free of cost. I agree with this satement of providing watersupply for free of cost the reasons behind such as hepls to save money and framing.
To begin with, there are many reasons for agree with cost free water supply. To explain it, There many countrys like nepal which is rich in water supply, if they free the water then people can save money specially farmers beacause they needed more water to grew fuirts and vegetable for us. As the result, more people will start take interent in farming due to free water supply. Similarly, In remote villages there are limited water supply due to that people have to travel fare to get water even they have to pay money for water if the water supply be free of cost then it will be a real help for them to save money.
On the other hand, there are some people who disgree with this satement of free water supply. To elabrote it, if the goverment dont charge the money then the economy of countrys will be less due to that the development work cannot be establised or end, if we free the water supply and bulided more hydropower then it will slove the problem of ecomoy.
To sum up, there are serveral reasons to implat the free charge water supply it will hepls a lot of people ti save money for future and improve farming but if contry cannot build the alternative way to gain money then it will be a real problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the question and state a clear position in favour of free household water, while also acknowledging the concern that this could reduce government revenue. Your examples about farmers in Nepal and people in remote villages are relevant and help explain how free water could benefit households. However, some points are not fully developed: the claim that free water would encourage more people to farm needs a clearer explanation, and the final reference to hydropower does not show precisely how it would replace lost revenue. Explain how the policy could be funded and clarify whether your agreement is unconditional or depends on safeguards such as sustainable water use.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting free water, a counterargument, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” make the stages easy to identify. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and several sentences join multiple ideas without clear relationships. For example, the discussion of farmers moves from saving money to increased interest in farming without fully connecting the cause and result. The sentence about government income, development work, and hydropower is also difficult to follow. Use clearer sentence boundaries and refer back to each point explicitly so the argument progresses more smoothly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “water supply,” “remote villages,” “farmers,” “development,” and “hydropower,” so the main ideas can generally be understood. There are also attempts to express cause and consequence, such as “As the result.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning unclear: “stand back” does not express the idea of a basic right, and “free the water” is not a natural way to describe providing it without charge. Spelling errors such as “goverment,” “disgree,” and “ecomoy” are noticeable. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the government don’t charge the money” and clauses beginning with “because” and “if.” This shows an effort to explain reasons and consequences. However, control is inconsistent: some sentences omit necessary subjects or verbs, as in “There many countrys,” while others have problems with agreement and verb forms, such as “people have to travel” followed by “they needed more water.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention; the opening combines several ideas in a way that makes the structure hard to follow. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and separating long explanations into clear sentences.
