Student answer (Band 5.5)
Access to clean water is a basic human right, and people argued that, clean water should have in free of cost in every home. I strongly agree with the statement. As clean water lead to a healthy life and provide free water will help the low-income families.
First of all, clean water is the most essential need for our daily life. We use clean water in cooking, drinking, bathing and many other tasks. If we can't get the clean water, it get affect our health. People will get affected by many water related diseases. Even they could die for using defected water. For example, in low-income communities it is commonly seen that people got affected in many water related diseases from an early stage. It also very difficult for them to do the treatment for this.
Second of all, there are a lot of people who struggled to cover their daily life expenses. Like for food, clothing, education, shelter. Also if they need to pay the charge for clean water, it will be difficult for them to cover the expenses. It will be burden for them to pay. So they should get the clean water free of charge.
As we will, providing free clean water to every home requires a huge budget. Goverment can discuss the issue to come up with a solution for this, they can get the funding from different organizations also accolate budget from the taxes they get from their people to provide the clean water.
In the conclusion, providing clean water free of charge will led to a healthy community and it will help the low-income community to stable their financial issue.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and remains consistent. You give relevant reasons: clean water protects health, and free provision would ease pressure on low-income households. The examples of water-related illness and the difficulty of paying for treatment help explain the first point, while the discussion of household expenses supports the second. You also recognise the practical challenge of funding the supply and suggest government funding and taxes, which adds useful balance. This covers the task well, but some ideas are less fully developed: for instance, explain how free household access could be funded sustainably or why it should apply to every home. More specific support would make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting reasons, a paragraph acknowledging cost, and a conclusion. The sequence is easy to follow, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Second of all,” and “In the conclusion” make the stages visible. However, these transitions are somewhat mechanical, and some links between ideas are abrupt. The funding paragraph begins “As we will,” without clearly connecting the cost concern to the preceding argument, and the list of expenses is not integrated smoothly into a sentence. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, as in “they can get the funding,” where the subject could be specified. Use more natural transitions and connect each supporting detail explicitly to the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “low-income families,” “water related diseases,” “daily life expenses,” and “funding.” The meaning is generally understandable, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural or imprecise. Examples include “defected water,” “cover their daily life expenses,” “stable their financial issue,” and “accolate budget.” These choices sometimes make the reader pause, even though the intended meaning can usually be inferred. Aim to learn common word partnerships and use precise terms such as “contaminated water,” “meet household expenses,” and “allocate funds.” Check spelling carefully, particularly in formal vocabulary, and avoid repeating “clean water” when a clear reference such as “this essential supply” would work.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If we can't get the clean water…” and a sentence beginning “As clean water lead…”. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur throughout. For example, “clean water lead” needs subject–verb agreement, “it get affect our health” has an incorrect verb pattern, and “providing clean water free of charge will led” uses the wrong verb form. The opening sentence also has an awkward clause structure. These errors can make some sentences difficult to process, although your main message remains clear. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with correctly formed clauses and consistent verb agreement.
