Student answer (Band 6.0)
Clean water is the basic human necessity moreover, access to purified water supply in every household should be free of charge. I truly believe that this is the non-negotiable need for all living organisms.
From my perspective, to maintain a hygienic life-style purified water plays a significant role in our daily life. If we use contaminated water everyday it will directly impact our health negatively. It will affect living beings by disturbing the internal organs system. Individuals get sick easily because of having weak immune system due to the consumption of un-purified water. Therefore it not only affects the individuals body health moreover it also has detrimental effect on their brains. Therefore, I believe that this is the first priority of every individual.
As far as I concerned, in developing countries a significant portion of residents are facing threats because of contaminated water but they couldn't do much about it because they are unable to afford the expense it takes to have a purifier in their homes. There are a large percentage of individuals who are consuming contaminated water which drastically impact their health and they are spending a significant amount of money on recovering but they are not solving the root cause of the problems they are facing. Therefore, I truly agree with the concept of having access to purified water in all residential property without any cost.
In contrast to this, I would say that individuals who belongs to the elite class should contribute to the authority who manages the flow of purified water consequently it will not burdens the government of developing countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the opening and remains consistent: you support free access to clean water, explaining its importance for health and the financial barriers faced by poorer residents. The discussion of contaminated water and the cost of treatment is relevant, and your final point about wealthier people contributing introduces a qualification that shows some consideration of how the policy could be funded. However, the health effects are asserted rather than supported with a specific example, and the funding point is brief and not fully reconciled with the claim that water should be free. To develop the response further, explain how public funding or contributions could ensure universal access while keeping water free at the point of use.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs supporting your view, and a final paragraph that considers funding. Ideas generally follow a sensible order, moving from health benefits to affordability. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by repeated linking words, especially “Therefore,” and by the repeated use of “moreover.” These connectors can make the reasoning feel mechanical rather than showing the precise relationship between points. The final paragraph also begins “In contrast to this,” although it adds a funding qualification rather than directly opposing the earlier argument. Use clearer topic sentences and vary transitions; make the relationship between universal free provision and contributions from wealthier households explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “contaminated water,” “immune system,” “detrimental effect,” and “root cause.” These choices help communicate your main concerns and show attempts to use less common language. Some expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, however, such as “purified water supply,” “internal organs system,” and “contribute to the authority who manages the flow.” Repetition of “individuals,” “significant,” and “contaminated water” also limits flexibility. Aim for more precise collocations and avoid using formal-sounding phrases when a simpler expression is more natural. For example, refer to “local water authorities” and “the cost of installing a water purifier.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional reasoning in “If we use contaminated water…” and longer sentences explaining the financial consequences for residents. The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and reduce accuracy. Examples include “the basic human necessity” without an article before “clean water” in the opening construction, “individuals body health” without a possessive apostrophe, and “individuals who belongs,” where the verb does not agree with its plural subject. There are also sentence-boundary and punctuation problems, such as joining “moreover” clauses without appropriate punctuation. Review subject–verb agreement, possessives, articles, and punctuation around linking adverbs, then edit long sentences for clearer structure.
