Student answer (Band 5.5)
Clean water is a blessing, water is an essential thing for us we cannot live without water but today having drinkable water is difficult but rich people can afford filter and clean water but supply of clean water should be free furtherly i will discuss this point and will include relevant examples.
Water is an important thing to survive we can not survive without that, but in present time finding a drinkable water is a difficult because we have make natural water polluted. Still goverment and relevant departaments have not find a solution to handel this situation therefore many people use filter at home and the other get water from company which is very costly and which everyone can not afford.
I firmly agree with the point that every home should have a water supply that is provided free of charge goverment should be responsible for this because if people drink dirty water it can make them ill and may cause serious problems children and old people can get effect quickly bcause they are more sensitive. I would say goverment should build filteration plants and should provide free of cost water and should also work on a problem like a water pollution to overcome this situation clean water is a necessary for a society.
In conclucion, Access to clean water is a basic human right. We need water to survive so, therefore every home should have a drinkable water supply for free of cost and goverment should provide this facilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear position, stating, “I firmly agree,” and give relevant reasons: dirty water can cause illness, vulnerable groups may be affected, and governments should provide treatment facilities. However, these points are only briefly explained, and the response does not fully develop how free household supply could be funded or managed. The introduction promises relevant examples, but no specific example is actually provided. The response also contains 228 words, so it is 22 words below the required minimum; this limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. To strengthen the response, develop each reason with a concrete example and explain how it supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can follow your general agreement. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas are joined in long strings rather than clearly separated. For example, the third paragraph moves from government responsibility to health effects, vulnerable groups, filtration plants and pollution without explaining the links between them. Connectors such as “but,” “therefore” and “so” are repeated or used mechanically, while the conclusion largely repeats the introduction. Give each body paragraph one main point, develop it in a logical sequence, and use clear sentence boundaries and referencing to guide the reader.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the central topic, with relevant terms such as “drinkable water,” “polluted,” “filter” and “water supply.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “water,” “important” and “free.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, including “goverment,” “departaments,” “handel” and “filteration plants,” which can distract the reader. Some expressions are unnatural, such as “free of cost” and “get water from company.” Build a more precise range for discussing public services and health, and check spelling and collocations. For example, use “treated drinking water” and “water-treatment facilities” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate your main position, but grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make sentences difficult to follow. The opening is a run-on sentence: “Clean water is a blessing, water is an essential thing for us we cannot live without water.” Several clauses need full stops or clearer linking. There are also recurring problems with articles and sentence patterns, as in “a drinkable water is a difficult,” and with agreement and verb forms, as in “government … have not find.” The response relies heavily on simple statements and has limited accurate control of complex structures. Practise separating independent clauses, then build longer sentences with accurate subordinate clauses, such as explaining why polluted water causes health risks.
