Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is a widespread belief that the approach to clean water is a fundamental human right. Consequently, each and every home must have a water supply that is granted free of cost. It is my strong conviction that this statement is entirely justified. in addition, I wholeheartedly agree with this assertion for a variety of reasons.
To begin with, one of the primary reason why I support this view is that every individual has basic right to access the clean water due to the fact that human's body consists of water and one can not survive without it so no one should be denied it due to cost. The approach to clean water is necessary for hydration, cooking and sanitation. Therefore, it is crucial natural source that is essential for the survival and dignity of the citizens.
Furthermore, another significant consideration is that it ensures the social equality. One of the good instance is that government providing clean water for various kinds of activities to both the wealthy and impoverished people free of cost give a sense of relief about the reducing in inequality. Moreover, supply of the free of cost clean water can promote public health as the poor supply of cost can cause detrimental diseases.
To conclude, I firmly believe that the supply of clean water which is free of charge is necessary for human's well being and improve the standards of living by ensuring the equality in the society and community. Therefore, I strongly support this perspective due to its advantageous perscriptions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I wholeheartedly agree”—and the conclusion reinforces it. You address the central issue with relevant reasons: water is essential for survival, and free provision could support equality and public health. These points meet the task well, but they are not developed equally. The survival argument explains basic uses such as hydration, cooking and sanitation, while the equality and health points remain broad; for example, the claim that free water reduces inequality would be stronger with a specific explanation or example. Also clarify whether you mean every household’s entire supply should be free or a basic amount. The response has a solid, relevant foundation, but fuller support and precision are needed for a more complete discussion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow, and the reader can identify your main position throughout. However, some linking is mechanical, with several paragraphs relying on formulaic transitions rather than showing the precise relationship between ideas. Within the second body paragraph, the move from equality to public health is understandable but abrupt, and the example about government provision is difficult to interpret. Use clearer referencing and connect each claim to its explanation—for instance, show how free access specifically benefits low-income households before moving to health outcomes. This would make the progression more flexible and cohesive.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “fundamental human right,” “sanitation,” “social equality,” and “public health,” and your meaning is generally recoverable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and sometimes make the argument harder to understand. “The approach to clean water” does not express access to water, “the poor supply of cost” is unclear, and “advantageous perscriptions” is not an appropriate phrase here. Repetition of “free of cost” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate collocations and simpler wording where needed, such as “access to clean water,” “water charges,” and “benefits.” More precise word choice would help you express your ideas clearly and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including explanations linked with “because” and “therefore,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, errors in agreement, articles, sentence boundaries and verb forms are noticeable. Examples include “one of the primary reason,” “has basic right,” and “government providing,” where the noun forms or verb construction need correction. The lowercase “in addition” after a full stop also shows a punctuation and capitalization problem. Some long sentences combine several ideas without clear punctuation, particularly the sentence beginning “To begin with,” which makes the reasoning harder to process. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and articles, and divide long explanations into controlled sentences while retaining a mix of structures.
