Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a position—“i agree”—and give relevant points about health, river cleanliness, and villages in India without safe water. The example of people becoming ill or dying shows awareness of the consequences, but it is asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific detail. The response only minimally addresses the central question of whether water should be free: it mentions government charges and free supply, but does not explain why households should receive it without charge or consider how this could be provided. The final point about travellers is unfinished. The response is also 51 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your reasons. Explain your position directly and extend each reason with a clear example or explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic sequence from your opinion to water cleanliness, health effects, and an example from India, so the reader can identify the general topic. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure, and several ideas run together in long, loosely connected sentences, especially the section beginning “in india there are so area.” Linking words such as “and also” and “because” are repeated, while the relationship between keeping rivers clean and making household water free is not clearly signposted. The final sentence stops at “but they,” leaving the thought incomplete. Use separate paragraphs for your position, reasons, and conclusion; then connect each point with precise transitions and complete every sentence.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “clean water,” “household,” “river,” “drinking water,” and “health issue,” and the reader can generally understand the subject. However, the same words and phrases recur frequently, and some expressions are unclear or imprecise, such as “get clean water to get clean wtaer” and “not have clean water have cause lots of problem.” Spelling errors—including “wtaer,” “resoan,” and “govenment”—also make the writing less clear and reduce control of vocabulary. Build a small set of accurate topic-specific phrases, such as “safe drinking water,” “water supply,” and “waterborne illness,” and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Your response mainly uses simple statements and attempts to connect ideas with “because,” “if,” and “when,” showing some effort to form longer sentences. However, control is inconsistent, and errors often make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “it keep human health better” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “if we keep river clean than lony we can get clean water” has faulty clause structure. The sentence beginning “not get clean water have cause” also lacks a clear grammatical subject and verb form. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using correctly formed conditional and cause-and-effect clauses.
