Student answer (Band 6.0)
Clean water is essential for everyone and it is a basic right of every human beings. Some people living in the society thinks that it is a basic human need it should be provided free of cost. I totally, disagree with the view because water is natural resource if it is provided free of charge. When charging raesonable fee necessity will maintain supply and conservation.
The primary reason for not providing water free to every household is supplying water incurred huge cost. For providing clean water, gathering, treating, and distributing of water. It involves technological advancement, chemical distributing and supply through extensive pipelines to every household. However, if it is provided free to the citizens. Unfortunately,The government had to fund these operations entirely from the taxes. Which will craete cut off for the crical sectors like education and healthcare. As a result the infrastructure has to ultimately compromised for the safety of clean water.
Furthermore, charging amount for provinding water is essential because the people will understand the value of natural resource. They will waste not it. Human tend to save the anything when they spend money on something.IIF the humanbeing are not charge for the cost of water they consume. they lack economic incentives. For example if they are provided free water they will waste it in opening of taps and washing of cars. pricing system allows them to maintain the supply system. It is very essentail for human beings to save the environment and the natural resources
In conclusion, i think charging resonable price for the water is essential for the human beings to maintain the supply and to save the natural resource and to save the environment

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you disagree with free household water, arguing that reasonable charges help fund supply and encourage conservation. Both main reasons are relevant, and the examples of leaving taps running and washing cars help illustrate waste. This meets the task well, but the support is uneven: the cost argument mentions treatment and pipelines, then moves quickly to possible cuts in education and healthcare without explaining how charges would cover costs or how essential access would be protected for poorer households. The conservation point is more clearly illustrated, though it could be developed further. To strengthen the response, explain the practical effects of your proposals and acknowledge the distinction between a basic right to water and a right to unlimited free use.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Sequencing phrases such as “The primary reason” and “Furthermore” help readers follow the argument, and the examples are placed alongside the conservation point they support. However, some connections are faulty or abrupt. For instance, “For providing clean water, gathering, treating, and distributing of water” is a fragment, while “However, if it is provided free to the citizens. Unfortunately…” breaks the cost argument into disconnected pieces. The conclusion also repeats the main claims rather than drawing them together. Use complete sentences and clearer links between the cost of provision, public funding, and the case for charging.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “natural resource,” “infrastructure,” “pipelines,” “economic incentives,” and “conservation,” which gives you a useful foundation for discussing the issue. However, the range is limited by repeated wording such as “provided free,” “human beings,” and “save,” and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “chemical distributing,” “create cut off for the critical sectors,” and “maintain the supply system.” Spelling errors such as “raesonable,” “provinding,” and “essentail” also reduce precision. Aim to use more natural combinations, such as “water treatment and distribution,” “divert public funds,” and “ensure a reliable supply,” and proofread carefully for spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex structures, including a conditional idea about charging for water and a cause-and-effect explanation. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence formation, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the argument harder to follow. For example, “Some people living in the society thinks” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “For providing clean water, gathering, treating, and distributing of water” is not a complete sentence. The conditional passage beginning “If the humanbeing are not charge” also contains several errors in its clause structure and verb forms. Sentence boundaries are often unclear, as in “However, if it is provided free to the citizens. Unfortunately,The government…” Practise complete clauses and accurate conditional forms, then check agreement and punctuation.
