Student answer (Band 6.0)
Water is a essential part of our daily life. Clean water is a baisc human neccessity and right. All residents should have adequate supply free of charge to fulfill their needs. I strongly agree with this because almost all housechores requires water not only but also it is mandatory for the survival of humans as well. Clean water intake also contributes to our health.
One major reason to have access to enough clean water is the survivial of humans as we drink it regularly if the water is not clean it leads to harmful effects. For instance, if the water is not properly purified and quality is not tested by the conerned authorities before supply to cities, towns or districts then obviously it will have bacteria and germs in it which results in several diseases and illness can harm our society as well as weaken the immune system. Conversely, if the water intake is clean then our immunity will be stronger and can prevent small diseases.
Another reason is nowadays almost every other housechores needs water to fulfill especially maintaining the cleannes of houses. For example, if we cook the food it will require water & even after eating it, the material in which we are eats the food needs to be washed and rinsed properly to avoid germs. Similarly, having a shower atleast in a day or two is recommended by doctors to make your body clean which eventually needs clean water.
In conclusion, i largely agree that enough clean water should be accessible by every other house free of charge as its a necessary and basic human necessity because residents are paying taxes for this facility.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and remains consistent in the conclusion. You give relevant reasons: clean water is essential for health and survival, and it is needed for household activities such as cooking and washing. The examples about contaminated supplies and food preparation help explain these points. However, the argument focuses mainly on why water must be clean and available, rather than fully examining why the supply should be free of charge. The final reference to residents paying taxes introduces a useful justification, but it is not developed. Extend this point and explain how free provision could be funded or why charging would be unfair.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. The progression from health and survival to household use is logical, and signposts such as “One major reason,” “Another reason,” and “In conclusion” make the organisation easy to follow. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, several links are mechanical, and the long example sentences make relationships between ideas harder to track. For instance, the sentence beginning “For instance, if the water is not properly purified” contains several connected consequences without clear breaks. Use shorter sentences and more precise referencing to improve flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “purified,” “bacteria,” “immune system,” and “accessible,” and these choices help communicate your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision: “baisc,” “survivial,” “conerned,” and “cleanness” appear in the response. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “clean water intake” and “every other house.” Repetition of “clean water,” “needs,” and “water” further restricts variety. Build a more accurate set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling carefully; use natural combinations such as “a reliable supply of safe drinking water” and “household chores.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the water is not clean” and a contrast introduced by “Conversely.” The main message is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “A essential part” needs the correct article, “housechores requires” has subject–verb disagreement, and “if we cook the food it will require water” needs clearer sentence structure and punctuation. The sentence about eating and washing dishes also shifts awkwardly between singular and plural forms. Practise agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, especially when combining several ideas. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the response.
